I have been with Preferred Carriers from the beginning of being able to drive under a Class 1 license, in August 2019. I completed the M.E.L.T. program with Cameron Driver training. Ray himself invited me down to interview. My background experience had nothing to do with driving a large vehicle, but I had more than 2 million kilometers under my belt as a drive in the remote oilfields of Alberta, in all kinds of conditions. All of that said, my background exposed me to lots of diverse working situations.Preferred Carriers, has always stuck by me, and there have been challenges both ways, and when in discussion with reason, they are always onside with being fair. Fair happens when both sides work to that end.As for treating me like a valuable employee, I am a Company Driver, I can honestly say, my demands are almost always considered, and met with enthusiasm to solve for both sides respectfully. (I could elaborate in person) I have remained in their employ to date, simply because they do resolve things so I can get time at home, with family in remote areas, and they do compliment me when i DESERVE IT!I think it's best put like this, if you work hard, they notice, and reciprocate when you ask for something within reason.I expect working somewhere else would be a Different" experience

Their truck drivers are a menace to society lol. They are willing to risk their job so they can start some road rage. Do better

Worked for this company for over six weeks last year ran three loads two through the states all the way to the southern states and back. Truck I drove constantly kept breaking down dispatch would tell me that’s my problem dispatch could never give me the proper address to where I was delivering and when I said something they said you’re the driver you should just know where you’re going dispatch is a big problem in this company. The company I work for now can you give me the exact GPS coordinates of where I need to be in the world and when I go there that’s the place But preferred carriers can never get it right. After six weeks of work when I asked about my paycheque they said what paycheque what do you mean you wanna get paid so I left and went to a better company still never got paid by these guys. Funny thing the company I drive for now the trucks is a year older than the truck I drove with preferred carriers never any problems and when I was driving down the Highway to Calgary I saw my old truck being driven by some new guy smoking on the side of the road it was hilarious.

Been here for a while now and honestly have never experienced a company that treats you this well.I find it to be the best company I have worked for. You are treated like a human and a friend not just a profitable asset.Honestly some of the best people I've had the pleasure of working with.

Preferred has been bringing loads to and from our shop for a number of years. They get the job done. Simple as that. Never felt that I was paying too much and have earned our loyalty as a customer.

I have been working with Preferred Carriers for 15+ years. They are an honest trustworthy carrier and always notify you of issues that need addressing. Highly recommended.

Good place to work. I worked here for 2 years 1 month. They have decent equipment, steady runs and customers and they always have work. They have personable office staff and good shop staff. The pay for drivers is pretty middle in the road and is the only reason I can't give 5 stars but I loved working here besides when my truck would break down with DEF/emission system problems that riddled their Paccar MX-13 engines. Hope everyone here is doing well. 135.

Great people to work with!! I have done few loads with them. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Patrick and Sarah are the best!! I look forward working with them in future! In our experience they provide excellent service at reasonable/ fair prices (especially given the current markets we find their prices to be more than exceptional). From start to finish they are good communicators and take responsibility for any issues that may come up.
