Great little Chinese restaurant. The owners are so very friendly and nice. The food was so fresh, so much fresher than food I get in downtown Toronto. The combo was only 9:50 and there were about 6 different ones to choose from. The chicken chop suey had large chunks of chicken and tasted amazing. I’ll definitely go again to this place.

We have been trying to locate a great Chinese restaurant in the Barrie/Orillia during the last couple years. I was reading reviews and came upon Gung Ho Restaurant in Orillia. We decided to give it a try and we are glad we did. We had Kung pow chicken, sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice and Cantonese fried noodles.

Delicious food, big portions. We called in a large order for take out. Food was hot and ready for us when we picked it up. Staff was friendly and greeted us upon our arrival. I normally don't leave a tip for take out, but the staff was really friendly I chose to make an exception on our visit. Will come back here again.

We were looking for some Asian food in Orillia, Surprisingly discovered this restaurant. The food portion was large; the owners were so friendly and kind. Will come back again if we want to have some Chinese cuisines.

The food was good and large portions. Compared to Toronto, it's not as authentic but that's okay. A little disappointed that BBQ Pork Fried Rice was soy sauce based and dry yet other pics showed the white egg fried rice style. The soy sauce based Beef Fried noodles were kind of bland and plain and also very dry. The shrimp with Snow peas was my favourite. The chicken corn soup and hot n sour soup was good. Vegetable spring rolls decent. Good price for big portions so it was a lot of food. The owner was very nice and explained items over the phone and nice at pick up.

There wife and I decided to stop in here for some lunch as she's been here before. I'll preface my review with I've been to a fair amount of Chinese restaurants all over the GTA so my expectations are high when it comes to the food. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Orillia and surrounding area and would be a top choice in the city as well!! Lovely couple running the front are just adorable!! Food was fast and delicious!!!! Prices are reasonable in this day!! I'll be back for sure to try out more! Thank you for the great food!

Ok, so I was craving sweet and sour pork. I also like Cantonese Chow Mein, with noodles. We recently tried a competitor, and it was so bad it was only nibbled by anyone eating it and it definitely didn't hit that craving. But Gung ho fixed that. I loved the sweet and sour pork and the chow mein. It was all flavourful and good sized portions so there were lots of leftovers for us.They were great taking the order over the phone and it didn't take long.Thank you:)

Excellent experience! Very friendly owners and the food was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Exactly as described and surpassed out expectation. This is our go to for Chinese food in Orillia now!
