Very nice cafeteria located inside the bookstore. They have a nice selection of decent size entrees and desserts. Last time I discovered their milkshakes and would 100% recommend ordering one as they are delicious and not expensive. So far our servers have always been very polite and patient while taking our order.

Thanks to the reviews on Google Maps. I had the figue pizza. That was new to me. Great food.

I was with a friend who recommended Prairie Ink, she wanted to go for the carrot cake. I was hungry and wanted to have something to eat. I settled on soup and salad. The soup was perfectly seasoned, and the pear and blue cheese salad was a perfect compliment. Served with really fresh ciabatta and butter, it was great. The service was attentive and pleasant in a nice setting. I ordered myself a slice of carrot cake to take home and it is so good!

It's always the same great food and service no matter who is working and I like that. I've had many different servers and cooks over the years when I've gone, and there's never a time when I feel like an employee hates their job. Everyone has a welcoming attitude and a good work ethic. Management must be good!

Finally I visited this restaurant hide in a bookstore. I have been to this bookstore years ago, but I did not realize that a restaurant located here, until I trash food near 8th St.This is my first visit, the visit is interesting. A quarter circle of the bookstore is the restaurant. I like the view of the cake spot, looks delicious. The food I have ordered is chicken with goat cheese, and I tried the down size of their signature salad Prairie Ink.All in all, for this $20 pricing, it is better than some $30 meal. A good spot for high tea, or have a cup of coffee after shopping books or reading.Nice leisure time spend spot by yourself or with friends or family.

The best steak and shrimp for $25 you can buy. It was under seasoned but cooked perfectly and for the price you cannot beat it. I would have given it a 5 star but the chef left the rubber band on my broccoli (got a $5 discount) and the service was SUPER slow. Out of 7 employees there appeared to be only one server for the full restaurant. Aug 27 @1700

My all time escape place! A great restaurant with cozy environment and very friendly service providers! The foods are delicious and it’s actually e very nice place to hangout or spend some quality me-time! I had the coffee, breakfast items and soups. All of them are mouthwatering and the serving is quite good. I do recommend everyone to visit this place.

This is a really nice spot for a quick meal, whether you are out purchasing a book or not.The food here is really interesting and is worth a try. I do not remember what I had in these photos but I’m sure if you show a server they would know!I’m very happy with my meal and service. I do however wish water was provided more often. Some of us do drink water at different paces. For myself, I do enjoy drinking several glasses of water with my food but sometimes I was left with a dry throat from a lack of water. However I wouldn’t say that is much of a flaw of this place. Not everyone drinks several glasses of water in one sitting like myself. The atmosphere is very vibrant. The multiple sections of windows allows for lots of natural night to flood in.I however do not recommend actually reading or studying here (which disappointed me) as it can get too busy and distracting. This is both good and bad as the busy service comes from a high demand from people to dine there. They also only have ONE desk with a wall outlet so make sure you request it if you need it!

This place gets busy for a reason. A great cafe attached to McNally Robinson book store. A perfect spot to enjoy a cappuccino and start a new book. I enjoyed the breakfast but it seems their specialty is in baked goods and cakes.
