Lovely patio off Edmonton Trail, delicious spritzers (recommend the clementina), lots of interesting pizza choices (didn't really look at anything else on the menu), friendly service. Good for take-out too.

My favorite pizza restaurant in Calgary. Finally found a restaurant that has thin crust and just enough toppings. (A lot of places put to many toppings which makes it very heavy and greasy.) There's so much flavor and very fresh pizzas. The dessert (tiramassu) was amazing as well, not to sweet and very soft. They have a few tables (2-4 people) inside and a few tables on there patio. Both inside and the patio has very good lighting making a great place for date night. Restaurant was very clean and service was great as well, very fast and attentive and nice to talk to. I can't wait to try all the unique flavors of pizza here.

I came across this Pizzeria by chance and saw the reviews so I had to try it. Picked up a couple pies on my way home but needed to try a slice before it cooled so I slammed one back in my truck and WOW. It was a basic marinara pizza (no cheese) but the flavors and crust were incredible. Even though it is neopoletana style it wasn't floppy and had a perfect soft chewy crust. By the time I got it home it had cooled off a bit and I have to admit it wasn't quite as good as having it hot & fresh but still terrific nonetheless. The seating inside looked very friendly and cozy. Next time I have it will definitely dine in!

THIS CRUST! Thin crust with the perfect chew! That alone is what should be driving you here. Super quaint, nestled in a quiet neighbourhood, Azzurri feels like you are visiting family. A group of very talkative ladies, the Gent serving us was attentive, patient, and knew how to get into the conversation. The Tre Colore was super flavourful, the balsamic was fragrant and rich. We shared four pizzas, Margherita and Quattro 4Maggi being the top two. The tomato on the Margherita was fresh, bright, and slightly acidic, playing well with freshly picked basil. The Quattro 4Maggi and the drizzled honey is a perfect combination. Finishing with the homemade Tiramisu & Hazelnut gelato - we were all beyond satisfied. A must try if you want authentic pizza with the charm of a family dinner.

Holy wow! We are from Edmonton and we're referred to this establishment by a client. Azzurri Pizzeria YYC is the best pizza I have ever had- this committed family has offered a menu including pizza varieties decorated with the most authentic of combinations and the freshest & finest of ingredients!Whether it be the fermented dough, or a magical spell they have put on their brick, 900 degree oven to deliver a crust like that ; what you put in your mouth is pure magic and transports you to straight to Italy. When you can eat an entire pizza without feeling sick- you know you are as close to Italy as you can get!The deceiving and cult like establishment calls to you like an oasis the second you walk through the doors! We left enamoured by the passion that was conveyed through welcoming styles, quick service, and a hand put to the chest when thanks was given.This was an amazing experience and we will make a point to pick up a pie anytime we are in the region! 10/10 recommend!

Cute little place. Very fun vibe to it. Had Mozza balls to start that were fresh, and exciting and delicious, the pizza was so awesome, light and crispy, the sauce was bright and artichoke hearts are a massively underrated topping. Service was prompt and engaged and friendly. Dessert was Tiramisu and it was a complete slam dunk. Oh my! Can't wait to go again and try all the pizzas.

Review based on takeout only. Pizzas go for about $25-30 and has around 8 slices each. If you are a fan of very thin crust, wood fire and not overloaded with toppings, this would be a great place to go. Simple and clean tasting. It's not my usual style of pizza and felt the cost vs value wasn't necessarily met although they do use top ingredients and flour for their dough. With that being said, it's not a bad place for pizza. Just a very personal review compared to other wood fire pizza vs Calgary style vs New York style within Calgary. I would still recommend to give it a try.

I don't know why it took me so long to try this pizza! I've been missing out. We got the feature Honolulu Luigi and it was AMAZING. Also had the classic Ciao Peppe and that was amazing as well. Their San marzanno sauce is the best I've had and the wood fired cook on the pizza was perfection - chewy crust with the perfect amount of the crispy charred bubbles. Two pizzas were ready in under 20 minutes as well!Side note - I had to hit the brakes suddenly and our pepperoni slid into the floor -- we put it back in the box and ate it -- THAT is how good this pizza is. lol

Best Pizza in the city. We love this little mom and pop shop, it feels like your in Italy when you walk in the doors. Terri, Fausto and Sandro are amazing and treat you like family. The Leonardo is my favorite pizza.

Calgary's best pizza joint, in my opinion. Finally discovered a place with thin crust and exactly the right amount of toppings. (Many locations add too many toppings, making the dish thick and greasy.) Pizzas are really fresh and have a tonne of flavour. The dessert (tiramassu), which wasn't overly sweet and was quite soft, was also fantastic. They have a few tables (seating 2-4 people) both inside and on their terrace. Very good lighting can be found both inside and out, making it a fantastic location for a romantic evening. The restaurant was really clean, and the service was excellent—very prompt, responsive, and kind. I can't wait to sample all the local pizza's distinctive flavours.
