Whether you like cultivated flowers or wildflowers, this part of the RBG is spectacular. Great for photographing the myriad flowering trees and shrubs; e.g. magnolias, redbuds & lilacs in spring. Carry on down to the forested shores of Cootes Paradise for a more natural experience with many wildflower and bird species.

I went on a bus tour and was a little disappointed to find that the shuttle at RBG was not running that day so it would have been impossible to see all the POI we wanted.Thankfully we stumbled across the Mediterranean garden, located in the information center, and we were not disappointed. The Hydrangeas were exploding with colour, and the walk through the rest of the garden was lovely. The outdoor gardens were a little disappointing as we only came across on Peony plant, Oshawa gardens have a much better showing for these. Maybe they were in the gardens we couldn't access but I can only comment on what I've seen. The Wisteria, that hung over the walking bridge, were spectacular! My picture didn't do them justice.

An absolutely beautiful Botanical Gardens. Definitely worth the effort to drive an hour, the blooms were stunning. Perfect place to enjoy blossoms. It's amazing how this wonderful Garden sits quietly and close to lake. It was our first time visiting this place. Lovely experience. So peaceful.Highly recommended to everyone.Parking lot available.

UNBELIEVABLY GORGEOUS. This place is heaven on earth. I visited on my birthday April 26th. That was Cherry Blossom week. I also saw some Magnolias. They have kept the place nice and clean and parking is right on the spot. I will visit again and again!

Visited April 21st, 2023 to catch the beautiful and fleeting cherry blossoms. Spectacular site to see (go on a week day). The parking was only $5, which goes to the gardens, so a great deal.

Amazing place. We went during Lilac blooms and the whole place was fragrant with lilac's sweet smell. A great place for nature lovers, lucky I got the annual membership.

Such a powerful collection of lilacs, redbud trees and dogwood, mixed into a natural forest. Ran out of descriptive words of beauty. It's a must see.
