Maverick Studio - Scotia Plaza (Ground Floor)

Walked out after waiting 20 minutes after time appointment was supposed to start. Was told it wouldn’t be much longer. No way was I going to pay for a haircut by a barber that was hurrying to get out on time (last appointment of the day).

Have gone twice now and went to two different barbers - Gi and David. Both were very professional and good conversationalists. Showed them a photo of what I wanted for my haircut, and they were able to mimic it.

Go-to barber in Toronto. Yes I have a favourite, but the best part is being able to go to any barber if my guy is booked up, and still feel confident I'm getting a great cut. Highly recommended, and great hair/beard products to keep you going as well.

Great salon with an genuine Italian heritage, friendly staff and excellent quality of service. Will is an excellent barber who’s friendly, super attentive to details and makes you feel welcome. Had my hair cut here twice, enjoyed the quality of service especially the hot face towel at the end. Haircut looks great and I’ll definitely come again, thanks!

This place was the first place I ever went to to have someone else take care of my beard/shaving. I happened to get Alessio and he's been my preferred guy ever since. Everyone here that I've ever had here though has been super.**Below is a cross-post of my review of the Scotia Plaza location**No complaints at all! I've been here twice so far, once for a haircut and beard trim and once for just the beard detailing. I've also been a few times to the Exchange Tower location. Regardless of location, it doesn't seem to matter who does it, the shaves and cuts are great and relaxing. The haircut is on the pricey side maybe at around $40 (I'm used to a regular $25 barber cut) but was very well done. It's downtown Toronto after all. $25 for the beard detailing seems totally fair to me as I only treat myself once a month or so. Now if only they would offer pedicures at the same time...

You will not find a better barbershop in Toronto and the overall experience is second to none. From the moment you are greeted at the door to the moment they wish you goodbye, the service is exceptional and friendly.Every hairstylist understands the latest trends and has an excellent attention to detail to ensure all their clients are looking their best.I'm lucky enough to have Joseph cut and style my hair and not only is he legend at his trade but you will not meet a cooler, more down to earth guy.I've personally recommended Maverick Studio For Men to my closest friends and it says a lot that they all continue to go their.I love the classic barbershop vibe and the fact they use natural products.If you are looking for a place to get your haircut/styled, this is the place to go!

I can only say positive things about this place. If you work in the financial district it's a great little retreat, you'll look great and be back at the office quick.Has a cooler more stylish vibe than you'd expect of bay street (think more Kensington market or queen west) and the barbers are skilled. Other barbers in this area will take your 40 bucks and you'll walk out looking like you cut your own hair while blindfolded.I know others who have equally good experiences here with all the barbers but I'm a particularly big fan of Erin who is great at her craft and is a super nice person. Recommended.

I've been loyal to Maverick for years and my haircuts always turn out perfect. The environment is upscale and there are nice little touches during my appointment. I love the refreshing warm towel placed on my face while my hair is being washed and the use of a straight blade razor for cleaning up my neck. The wifi access is great as well!There's a good selection of products too! Personally I love Hero Grooming Cream as well as Hero Exceptional Shave. The grooming cream is light and easy to work with and easily beats the cheap drugstore stuff.The staff are genuinely passionate about their work and it shows....which is probably what I love most about Maverick. Service is personal and attentive and I can't recommend a better place for cuts and shaves.
