Cool little bar we found while looking for a place to have a late meal (11pm) and drink on a Sunday night. Pretty comprehensive sake selection which you can see they take seriously, with menus telling you about the level of polish on the rice.We had the chef's sashimi platter which was really nice. Staff were all great too.They have a nice range of Japanese whisky too, and they do flights :)

Creative renditions of traditional Japanese orders!Everything was presented so nicely with an eye-grabbing aesthetic. However, for being as pricy as it was, I would expect more shine from the ingredients themselves; while every creation looked amazing, I found that most dishes were drenched in too much sauce/extra ingredients that took away from the primary selling point. For example, the wagyu carpaccio was drowning in sauce, to the point that you couldn’t taste the beef itself. That particular order was not cut nicely - uneven cuts with inedible portions still attached. At this price point? I’d expect seamless for every dish. The sushi offerings were rice-forward, and I prefer fish as the priority when it comes to ordering sushi…Nonetheless, friendly staff and notable creativity in the menu!

Having been fortunate to experience a large number of Japanese restaurants, this one ranks in the top 3. Massive selection of sake, one of the largest is Canada. Every dish we tried was amazing. Finally, the service was spot on. Highly recommend.

Looking for the best sushi in Victoria? Well look no further. Ene is THE PLACE to go for unique cocktails, fresh sashimi, and delicious food. Chef Eric & his team are super passionate about creating the best guest experience and keep things fun and interesting with feature drinks and dishes. Don’t sleep on the Moriawase 126, Jackie Chan oshi, Oroku Saki roll, and Bulgogi Pasta (my favourites). Their happy hour is also a great time to try lots of small dishes and taste a wide variety of drinks. I come here almost every week to eat and post photos/reviews at @vicflavours

Honestly, the best restaurant experience in many years. Our bartender Jayhun was engaged, knowledgable and friendly. His understanding of sake rivals any french wine sommolier.

Spacious and inviting environment paired with charming and tentative staff gives this place a nice appeal for an evening out. The food was beautiful, delicious, and rich in flavour. This place would be perfect for a small get together, romantic date night, or even a nice family night out (though I wouldn't recommend bringing small children due to noise, the open bar, and adventurous food items) They were very accommodating by putting tables together for our party and the service was extremely fast.

We went to ENe for Christmas Eve. It is a nice restaurant with very kind and knowledgable servers. Raw fish was good but it was not like blowing me away. As a picky sushi eater, the quality and freshness was probably 4 out of 5. It is still great and most of people might not even notice the differences. They also have warm food like udon, shabu shabu, and ramen. We tried udon and it was excellent. So, try the warm food if you get a chance.

We were in town for a conference and wanted sushi, and this was a fantastic find.There were three of us, and we shared the Omakase chef choice 9 plate tasting and sushi platter.
