We bought a $813 canoe bookshelf 1.5 years ago from this store. We noticed that the shelves had separated from the outer sides. It was noticed the shelves were attached using a staple gun. No glue no screws! I contacted Karen and she contacted the manufacturer who accused me of having the shelf fall over or pulling it pull from its sides as that’s the only way that the shelf could have become like it did. I will have to repair myself and do it properly and NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS go back to this store! Run from the store if you see it!

I want to recommend this store since buying locally is very important. However, I purchased $450 worth of product on Friday including 2 table lamps. On Monday I went back with the receipt to exchange the lamps as they were too small. My daughter unwrapped the plastic off the one shade, apart from that everything was in the original packaging. The owner was blatantly rude and told me they would not exchange the one lamp because of this- prior to her telling me this I had chosen two new lamps and an area rug. I was rather surprised they were willing to give up that sale for the sake of an unwrapped lamp shade. I have been a customer there for several years, and have purchased 6 outdoor chairs, 4 outdoor tables, various pieces of decor, and 4 pieces of furniture. They have no concept of customer loyalty, they’ve lost my business for good over a $129 lamp.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Lots of things to look at, but I have seen a lot of it at other stores (including some of the shops just down the road in town). Everything is very pricey. I asked if they had a washroom and they said no. I then asked if there was one nearby and he grudgingly suggested the market across the street. The owners" are extremely rude

We bought a solid wood bedset from this business. The quality of the Mennonite furniture is impeccable and the service provided by the Northern Expressions was excellent. 100% Canadian made!

The product was good the gentleman whom was assisting me, was pleasant, however stood in my space the whole time showing me inventory, which was fine. What I did not like is he complained to the lady who also works or owns the business, not realizing I was behind him. Complaining to her that I would back up when he was talking to me. Yes because these are times of covid, 6 feet. I had contemplated not buying anything, you are welcome that I spent almost $200. Enjoy your day!

Horrible shopping experience. Bought $3000 worth of stuff and when i wanted to exchange a quilt (still in packaging) for another colour she said no and insulted me. You are of no value to them once you make a purchase and they made that clear. I will never shop here again, so many better places close by. Bad store, expensive products, disgraceful owners. Id really appreciate a reply from the owner, they dont reply to negative reviews I’ve noticed, only the few positive ones.

Terrible experience, rude owners. The man spoke very rudely to my 2 year old child! He is 2!!!! Everything is wildly over priced as well. Avoid this place and spend your hard earned money where you are treated with respect. Also came in another time to ask about their muskoka chairs and the responses from the lady were so rude and condescending. They claim they have so many clients buying their chairs but the same ones have been sitting out in the same spot since the beginning of May.

So much variety and quality items . Great place to furnish your cottage, trailer, cabin or home. Equally a great place for that unique find, gift, or treat for yourself. Could spend a minor fortune and a day in there. The owners are also very professional, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit to this place.

It was a while ago, but felt I should share our experience with people considering purchasing from Northern Expressions..My wife and I purchased moccasins for our daughter and unfortunately she didn’t like them… Also, only tried them on.. she did not wear them..Two weeks later she went back to the store and asked if we could exchange them for anything else in the store. Shewas told that they would not exchange.. If you plan to purchase anything from this store make sure you never want to exchange or return, or you will be disappointed.

We went to the store today . We want to buy furniture and decorations stuff from there but the staff was very rude . We already put mask on and our kids have a mask too. They said put gloves too we did that but the store guy have no patience. His behaviour was very inappropriate with kids . I definitely don’t want to go to there again in my life. He needs classes for costumer service.
