Brown's Point Memorial
Brown’s Point is where is the ship Hector, first emigrant ship from Scotland to Canada, landed in 1773. It was also the location of a large railway crossing to Loch Broom, across the Pictou Causeway which was torn down in 1958, leaving a bridge for many years that was later burned in 1993.
