Graves Island Provincial Park
This is a beautiful park with an easy-to-walk trail that goes around the island. There were so many perfect views and plenty of benches and picnic tables at picturesque spots. There's even a beach — lots of outhouses scattered along the trail. And it's free! Go here if you're looking for a gorgeous 2.5 mile walk.

Lush, quiet and lots of trees and vegetation next to the ocean. Sites are mostly level with lots of room. We loved watching and hearing the Yellow Warblers, which were plentiful.

Home of our summer time family gatherings. Been coming here for years. The park has so much to offer from camping to day picnics, hiking, swimming, large yards for outdoor gatherings or play. Shelters to keep you out of the rain. So much to do!

Awesome park! It was our first camping experience and it did not let us down at all!Staff were 100% present and friendly, cleaning the park quite often due to COVID-19. They were accepting card for firewood and ice payments. Only people with reservation could enter the campgrounds (there is a barrier for cars. No barrier or control over people walking inside park, just as a side note). At first we reserved serviced site 23 but, due to lack of privacy (we were there for the nature) we changed, without ANY issues (thanks staff!) to site 84, which was perfect for us.Park has a great infrastructure and it is beautifully maintained, with nice trails and beautiful views. I can only note down the water access: only on the opened area of the park and in the middle of the seaweed and on the reserved area, only water accessible if you'd adventure yourself through the cliffs (I guess you cannot go against mother nature sometimes eh!?).

Great little park. Easy walking trail. Could probably be navigated with one of those power carts during open season for older or disabled people. Would be a great place for dogs during of season when no campers as well.

On a whistle stop tour of Nova Scotia, we stayed in the Campground.Of the three campgrounds we used on our trip Graves was by far the nicest, most well maintained and thought out park.Great Sunsets & Sunrises. A tiny beach, beautiful views and a walking trail didn't hurt either. There were mosquitoes in the early morning and evening but way less than we encountered elsewhere.Convenient location for stores and amenities.

Very nice Campground overall. We came with a 30feet RV and had a great spot with power and water and ocean view. Distance to other RVs is rather big. Good opportunity for campfire. The beach is ok but nothing special. We had no bugs and it was quiet.

This is one of the most beautiful camp grounds I've been to. Excellent layout and the sites were very private. The staff were friendly and helpful.I took off 1 star only because the bathrooms, which seem to be cleaned often are well overdue for an upgrade. Also should consider doing something about the spider webs inside the building. There was no paper towel dispenser, just multiple soggy rolls on the counter. The air dryer in the women's room did not seem to work. Also the wood for sale was soaked and impossible to burn. Almost every vacant campsite had unburned wood left behind because it was useless. Time to invest in a shed.Overall, it was a great experience and we will be back!

Provincially run campground, well maintained. Pleasant and accommodating staff. Dump station is near the exit, washrooms are decent but could do with an update. A dishwashing station is located just outside the washrooms. Full hook-up and unserviced sites available. Sites are fairly level. Not much tree cover though and privacy is above average. The campground has a nice trail leading to the water where you can see ducks swim and nice landscapes of the open water. About 45 minutes from Halifax and close to Peggy’s Cove.

Beautiful spot to go camping. We stayed at a non-electric site and the upkeep to each site was impressive. Lots of room for all your camping needs. The trail that circles the island is easy walking, great views, and has ample loads of blackberry and raspberries to consume. The staff were great and offer really nice dry hardwood and kindling for your fires.
