Hands down the best service, care, and experience I've had at any store... Ever! The franchise owner spent a good amount of time helping me figure out what I'd need for best success in making a 'poop' emoji cake for my son's birthday! It wasn't about making a sale either, as he'd recommend other stores too! Very impactful - makes a difference in your day to have genuinely helpful encounters like that :)

I prefer this branch to the one on Hazeldean Road. Much cleaner store. I always go to this place to get my sea salt and other stuff.Recently I had two bad experience:(1) I tried their online order and then picked up my order at the cashier few times. Found this process very useful. However, I ordered wheat brans a month’s ago. The wheat brans were not fresh and smelt like the brans had gone bad (reaching the expiry date smell). I wonder if the staff filled up my order using the old stock?(2) I decided not to use their online order and went to the store to buy the stuff I needed. I bought some soy beans and red beans. Two days ago, when I soaked the soy beans for 2 nights, the soy beans have no skin breakout and remain the same. Normally, when I soaked the beans for one night, the skin would open up. I had this experience with red beans that I bought at TnT before, and I ended up throwing out all the red beans since the beans were hard to cook. So, I believe the soy beans in Bulk Barns have problems.

Just wanted take a few photos of products for my mom, who is not able to come and buy by herself. They sad that is not allowed to do any photos in their shop. The store was empty and I couldn't confuse anyone. There were no obvious reasons for this.

Good place pick things in small quantities.

Great variety!! And you find almost everything you need there! Their choice of merchandise is genius. A tad overpriced but I guess it's better to be able to buy in smaller quantities than having to pay for a box or two at the grocery store.

Terrible customer service at the Bulk Barn on Fernbank! I saw them ask someone to leave today who had a medical exemption for a mask. They treated her as if she had the plague and continually asked her to leave.As someone who wears a mask, I felt more uncomfortable with how rude the employee was tha the women who was not masked.If you're exempt, you're exempt. The only place you can be asked to leave is private property... not a store that has to serve the general public.I wish I could give this location a 0. I will never return.

Good store if you want to try small quantities of candies, spices, etc.Lot of varieties available to choose from.

The worst customer service in Ottawa. Was there yesterday around 7.30 pm. The staff was very aggressive. Completely unprofessional! The boyfriend of one of the staff told me I don't give a cheat of what you think". he doesn't work there and have no right to talk to me... But just want to intervene... Totally inacceptable! I'm going to fill a complaint about this incident..."

That’s our number one stop for good buckwheat (fried and white), zoo-cookies, two favorite types of flour and of course freshly squeezed peanut butter.

Very happy with Bulk Barn. Clean, organized, and offer clear gloves to use. Great selection and friendly staff offering to help.Highly recommend visiting if you need anything from Bulk Barn!
