I have personally never had any work done by this company, but I can assure that I never will!I would never invite such rude employees into my home or onto my property. Again, I can say nothing of their work, but can say much about their character due to a simply drive-by interaction.Driving home from university, one of their company vehicles proceeded to cut me off. Normally I would let this roll off my shoulders as we all know Calgary driving... however, when I looked out my window at the individuals in the company vehicle as they sped past me, one of their employees was giving me the middle finger.As a student trying to get home after a long day with no connection whatsoever to this company or their duties, I found it quite inappropriate for employees to represent a company so poorly to strangers.

I am writing this review to express my utmost satisfaction and gratitude towards First General for their exceptional services in responding to the recent flood incident in our building. From their quick response to their outstanding customer service, they have truly proven themselves to be a reliable and efficient company.First and foremost, their response time was nothing short of impressive. After our bathroom flood, First General wasted no time in mobilizing their team and reaching our location promptly. Their swift response ensured that immediate action was taken to minimize the damage to our building. Joe went above and beyond to ensure that all our concerns were addressed, and he kept us informed every step of the way. His timely communication and willingness to listen to our needs made us feel supported throughout the entire process.Thank you, First General, for your exceptional service and for restoring our peace of mind.

Worst customer service and least organized had them assigned as part of insurance claim and the whole process of getting trades out and communication on who was coming when was non existent. Even had multiple contractors show up for same thing but without details on what they were here for. Would not recommend or use if I was choosing and have said same to my insurance company.

Great company to do work for. We have done quite a few scaffold jobs for their projects and their team are easy to deal with.We Would recommend First General as a leading company in there field.

Our experience with First General was excellent. When Jen took on the coordination of our water damage repair project, things clicked along very smoothly from beginning to end. She kept us well informed throughout each stage. All of the contractors were very courteous and respectful, on time, and their quality of work was excellent.We would not hesitate to recommend First General Services.

This company is outstanding! We had sewer backup in the fall & they were recommended by our insurance company. They were quick & efficient with the initial cleanup (in 5 hours our entire basement was emptied & cleaned up). They then discovered asbestos in our older house & quickly dealt with that issue. Joe & Elle were quick to respond to any emails & calls. They had excellent recommendations & good companies for flooring, painting, & plumbing. All issues were dealt with professionally. I even had a recent plumbing issue (not related to the first claim) & immediately called them for their advice. They responded within minutes & actually came over within a couple hours to sort out the issue. They will definitely be our go-to company for any future work.I did glance at the negative reviews & was quite surprised. Yes, our entire claim took a few months to complete, but it is a lengthy process with many puzzle pieces to put together. I was happy with how well they put the pieces together, & we are very satisfied with the final result!

We had a wonderful time dealing with this company. We had a ceiling leak the workers came and completed the job. Anything that needed additional touch ups were completed when it was convient for us and done until we were satisfied. Thank you!

Had a significant flood and First General arrived quickly and started the restoration process. After the flood I had a couple of electrical problems that the Electricians handled quickly and professionally. Once the drywall and carpeting was replaced my basement was as good as new. All in all a first class job.

I contacted First General as they are one of the contacts provided by my insurance company. I had water damage as a result of a leak off the dehumidifier line which exposed drywall inside the furnace room and carpet and baseboards outside the furnace room to water. Braden came over and took a look (it was over Christmas) and suggested I could save myself some money by renting a dehumidifier and fans at Home Depot (I did not want to make an insurance claim and the size of the job was likely less than my high deductible). He also instructed us on how to remove the baseboards and pull back the carpet to check for damage and optimize drying. Then he came back a few days later to check to see how the drying had progressed. He also provided estimates to get the repairs done. I was very pleased with Braden's courteousness and responsiveness. In the end, we only had to get the baseboards put back on (I did my own painting) and have the carpet stretched. I know that it was a very small job but Braden was very responsive and kind enough to help me nonetheless. I really appreciate it.
