Paris Plains Church
A wonderful piece of history and unique construction, this church was built in 1845 by stones collected by the local congregation. I was not able to enter but did walk around the building in awe of how the church was built.

This is a quaint little church to visit if you’re in the area. It’s uniquely designed with stones instead of big bricks. It’s generally closed, but you can walk around the outside and peek in the windows. It shares a parking lot with an old schoolhouse, too. There’s also a cemetery next to the church if you enjoy seeing old cemetery stones.

A unique style of architecture and a piece of Ontario’s history greets you if you are willing to stop and explore when you're visiting Paris. It was built in 1845. There is a picnic table and swings on the property.Considering the weather was not too hot, it was a nice way to wind down our visit to Paris. The church is alongside a cemetery. It wasn't open so we couldn't get inside. I don't believe entry inside the church is open to the general public.

absolutely beautiful. peaceful little spot outside town. 2 war veterans from the war of 1812 are buried here.

Beautiful historic location. Wonderfully a trip back in time. Hard to get into but well worth trying. Visit the local antique shop at the end of the road for more information.
