Shopping here was excruciating!You will most likely spend the next 8 to 12 months chasing for furniture that regardless of what they tell you, they havent a clue when it's coming.The amount of disappointment I received from this store I cannot stress enough! Awful experience.For most families buying new furniture for your home is a big deal, It's something you plan for, save for and get excited about.This store stressed me out and killed the experience.If I could give 0 stars I would.

Ordered custom couch from Simcoe. Couch arrived as ordered, looks amazing. Arrived on time too. Staff were friendly and accommodating but communication could use some improvement. Overall a great experience and would order from them again.

Bought a bedroom suit before Christmas from Simcoe home. Upon deliveries, the workers were very rude for the fact they had to climb steps! We paid for the delivery! They proceed to put everything in the room still in boxes . Upon opening we noticed that the mirror that was on the dresser on display was not included in the deal. And when we unpacked our mattress I’m there was a rip in it. I’ve called multiple times to be told to call again, at one point I was given an email address to send pictures and I sent the two above that has a time stamps of a couple hours after the delivery. I gave one star because I can’t go any lower

UPDATE: Although the furniture was late, arriving around the end of February, we were impressed by the quality of the items. The leather is durable and comfortable, and the couches are well-made. One of the couches had been damaged as shown by abrasions on one corner. The company told us to reject that part of the shipment. The damage was quickly and effectively repaired, and the couch arrived back just a few days later. So although my earlier comments still stand, we are content with the final result. (Added one more star)ORIGINAL:Disappointing customer service. We ordered a matching couch, loveseat and chair ($5000), but so far have not received any of the items. We placed the order and down payment November 26 and were told that the delivery should be in the last week of January (which is written on the receipt as well). Toward the end of January we had heard nothing, so we contacted the store. They told us the furniture would be delivered in the subsequent week, which was fine. However, having heard nothing during that following week, we again contacted the store. It took several rounds of phone tag, initiated repeatedly by us over over a couple of days to finally find out that the items are now expected to be the end of February.Or perhaps the beginning of March.I understand that there can be manufacturing delays, especially during COVID. But to not provide any updates for 2 months, to require the customer to do the chasing after the delivery deadline to determine that the next delivery deadline would also be missed and we're now a month late ... that is poor customer service indeed. I'm nervous of the quality of the furniture now, given the poor quality of the service. Time will tell. Hopefully. Maybe. But we will not be returning to this store for future purchases, and we do not recommend it.

After much thought, we purchased a custom sectional at the beginning of December. Amid COVID delays, we wanted to shop locally and were excited that they could have a couch ready for us in 8-10 weeks. After calling numerous times to get an update, it was finally delivered about 5 months later. We had the couch for exactly 1 week when a piece of the frame snapped in half while we were sitting on it. They were very responsive and said they would pick the couch up on Saturday. We canceled our plans and waited all day, but they never showed up, phoned, or answered our calls. When calling back to re-arrange our pickup we confirmed twice that they would bring plastic wrap to protect our (white) couch during transit. The broken section was repaired very quickly, however the broken piece of wood was left on the couch, causing a creaking noise at times. The couch was also returned to us very dirty and clearly had not been protected during transit, as they had promised. In the end we paid a lot of money for a broken, inconvenient and now filthy couch. Although the staff were generally nice to deal with, we are disappointed and would not recommend purchasing from Simcoe Home Furniture.

My experience was excellent from show room to delivery and set up. I relayed the ideas I had for the furniture I wanted. If it wasn't on the floor, I was shown examples in the online catalogue. The little extra I paid for delivery and set up was well worth the money. The delivery men were respectful of the furniture, my apartment, and myself. Best experience... and I went to EVERY furniture store in Barrie before coming here.

Buyer beware of fraudulent practices! I ordered and paid in full for a piece of custom furniture before covid lockdown. In the meantime, I sold my home and am leaving the country. When I tried to cancel the furniture the owner told me it was ready for delivery (the week before he told me it wouldn't be ready for 6 weeks). He has not delivered the furniture and refuses to refund my money. He claims he will sell it to someone else in his store. I reported this matter to the Better Business Bureau and the Anti-fraud Centre.Update July, 2021No help from the Better Business Bureau or the Anti-fraud center but I finally got my money refunded by initiating a credit card dispute. Now Simcoe Home Furniture is fraudulently trying to get the money back by saying the furniture has been sitting in the store since February and I neglected to pick it up. Good thing I have the proof needed to dispute this lie in text exchanges and in his own written words in the file from the Better Business Bureau.

We went to six different stores before choosing to invest in the people at simcoe home furniture. We weren't disappointed. From the time we ordered, all the way through delivery it was a painless process. Definitely the most expensive couch I've ever bought, worth every penny.
