AMA - Alberta Motor Association

Recently had car vandalized. AMA is not 24 hour 7 day a week service as advertised. If trouble occurs on a long weekend good luck. A call service answers but you get no help until office opens during regular business hours.Also went to them for registry services. First registry agent forgot to sign bottom of paperwork. When we returned to complete paperwork second registry agent forgot to sign another area and we had to point it out. Then we were told the remainder of paperwork was our copy despite my telling the registry agent that it clearly specified the paperwork was to be submitted back. then got a call a few days later from AMA that we needed to return the paperwork they erroneously gave us, although we tried to tell the registry agent it was theirs to file. When we returned to bring the paper work back we were left sitting in the chairs for a long time. We were told that was faster than lining up which it wasn't. We were also told the registry agent who made the error would come grab us when she was finished speaking to her current customer. She was e-mailed and spoken to that we were there. She ignored us and continued to take new clients out of the line. We left with the paper work. I would NOT RECOMMEND AMA for insurance or registry needs. Their agents have no clue what they are doing and their service is horrible.

Extremely knowledgeable and quick to make address changes to our business and personal items. Very helpful in pointing out what needed to be done.

I haven't been in to the registry but I am glad to have a membership!I had to get my truck towed closer to home and with having such a large and heavy truck, i automatically asked for a flatbed. Because of where it had to be dropped, a flatbed wasn't able to tow it. No problem! I get it! Safety & space is super important and I wont fault them at all.Kelly called and let me know and worked hard to figure something out. Within 10 minutes I met the tow operator Bradley and he's a cool dude. Great operator, easy to talk to and definitely the best guy for the job.Thanks Kelly and Thanks Bradley! You both got my long and heavy truck to its destination safely and really without any hassle :)

I started an insurance quote online and the agent I completed the quote with: Evanie Garcia. Was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. With the discounts I received I was able to get a really affordable rate for my family.

My drivers Ed instructor was great. The online portion was worthless. The videos are trash. You'd get more use out of just buying the Alberta Highway Traffic and Safety handbook. Just an excuse to charge more than the program is worth.

Road side assistance: Needed my car towed this evening. AMA did a great service call (helping me find an address.)I had the pleasure of them sending Brent Erwin . He was friendly and professional. Brent explained each step in the tow and was fast and efficient. He took care to make sure we were informed as to how the processing was going to go and he texted when the job was complete. We could not ask for better service, he was exactly the person we needed for the stress we were feeling.

Waited in line to get registration renewed. They wanted to see insurance card which they never asked for before. When I went to get it. I had to line up all over again. Cost of membership is not worth it and it keeps going up every year

This is an update from earlier review. Created request on Dec 21st about 8am for pickup on Dec 24 at 5:38am. After 30 hours past my pickup time, i called again on Christmas day for the 4th time and was given a noncommittal pickup of today or tomorrow". At that point I requested a cancelation of my membership for full refund. After a bunch of denials

Building is clean, security is present, and ample parking. The line moves relatively quickly and the customer service is fabulous. Everyone who has helped me has been patient, kind and understanding. Honorable mention to Emily W who made me feel validated and a valued customer.
