I wouldn't recommend this company to my worse enemy ! Here is my experience with Grip Construction on my 60x100 shop. Started out giving them $32 000 in December to book my spot for spring i was going to be the very first project they started once the snow was melted. They didn't show up until July. They poured a 6' concrete foundation wall for the building to sit on 4 feet in the ground and 2 feet above ground. IT was 32 C outside that day when they poured it. So hot that the concrete started to harden before they got the top smoothed out. The top of the wall was like ocean waves. The owners reply was i used 7 foot forms and my arms were not long enough to get it nice. I said that is not acceptable for the $40 000 that the wall cost so he came back on a Sunday with his wife and 4 little kids and put a concrete dressing on the top to make the wall flat. little baby's running around with garden hoses like it was a play ground zone. They then told me see you in 28 days that's how long the concrete takes to dry before we can start framing. I had 2 local concrete company's come look at the work they said they used to much water that;s why there is cracks everywhere and to dig it up and start over. I didn't want to throw away the $40 000 i gave him for the mess i was hooked in so i just got them to finish the shop. The framing went OK and trusses and tin. They did a nice job of that but they used Tyvek house rap for insulation stop in my attic instead of using proper cardboard shoots or plywood. So anytime the slightest wind came up all you could hear in the shop was a flapping noise. He said your the only guy that has complained about this. They sent a spray foam crew out and they spray foamed the paper so it wouldn't flap. While doing that they trampled down all my blow in insulation so i had frost coming in badly from the outside. So we had to get guys to come back to re do that. i also paid extra for R50 in the ceiling and they showed up with only enough to do R40. The insulators said our work order only says R40 they said he was trying to short you on the insulation. That really made me mad that's something that if i wasn't around that day i would of never known. It was my full time job every night to clean up garbage that was blown all over my field. I told them they are not doing my concrete floor i had a local guy from Ponoka do that and it turned out wonderful. I didn't want to be pouring a floor in the middle of winter. If they started on the shop in April like promised we could of poured in August but that didnt happen. All i know is am a small business owner i treat my customers better spending $5-$5000 than he treated me spending over $200 000
