Northern Lights Resort

We've never been to a place quite like this! Our family had a wonderful vacation here; swimming, canoeing, stargazing, wildlife watching, and just enjoying the silence and natural beauty. The owners, Candice and Owen, were very friendly and welcoming, helping us to get to know the lakes and area well. They gave us maps of the lakes, pointed out fishing spots, and made the motorboats, canoes, and kayaks easily available. The cottages and docks were clean and well renovated, cabin 8 easily slept our family of seven. Firewood was brought daily for campfires, and we were kept safe from bears with the nightly garbage pick-up. We were also able to take short day trips into North Bay and Sudbury for the museums and beaches, but it was always great to return to the peace and quiet of the resort.

Our family had such a great time at Northern Lights. So much to do like paddleboarding and kayaking and canoeing and more. The beach is small but the kids only wanted to swim and jump off the dock anyway. Owen and Candice were very helpful and genuinely friendly, such a nice break from city life! Like my husband and I said, we would recommend Northern Lights to anyone.

We just spent a week at Northern Lights and had a great time. It's a super clean and cozy place. The owners Candace and Owen were friendly and really accommodating. Each cottage comes with a boat and motor. You can upgrade to a patio/pontoon boat or bass boat. FYI...the resort is situated on a very steep hill. People with mobility issues could be challenged but there are 4 cottages right on the water that might be better. Secondly there really is no beach. There is a place you can walk into the water but drops off quickly. No place for toddlers to sit on the shore and play in the sand. Other than that the swimming is fabulous. I tried to write a more detailed review but the resort is not listed on Tripadvisor.

My wife and I just returned from two fabulous weeks at Northern Lights. We didn't hesitate to already book for next year!! My son and his infant children were with us in their own cottage for one of the weeks and he already booked too. There are many reasons we think so highly - the owners, Candice and Owen could not have been more hospitable and welcoming. For example our boats are bailed out if it rains and if we need gas, we just need to leave our tanks on the boat seat and every morning and evening it is checked and filled! Who does that? Not any other place we have been.The fishing was terrific and there is a fish house for cleaning. We had a big fish fry one night. Each cabin had firewood and a fire pit. The nights we had fires on the shore of the lake were beautiful and are simply memorable. Just writing this makes me wan to go back and not have to wait a year.Jim and Karen

First time staying here this summer. Great cabins, amazing owners. They go above and beyond, are very accommodating. Boats were kept in great condition. Awesome fishing. Just all around amazing week away! I’m so glad we found this place and can not wait to go back next summer!!

Wow...!!! Absolutely top shelf..!! Clean well equipped cabins. Owen and Candice were both amazing helpful funny very pleasant to be around . From local fishing secret's to anything to make your stay absolutely perfect... next year 2 week stay will be in order... we didnt want ever leave .. cant thank them enough for the awesome hospitality.. keep up the Gret work guys ...!!See you next year

Had a wonderfully tranquil and relaxing time at Northern Lights Resort. Did some fishing and just relaxing on the dock. So peaceful up there. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get away from busy life to check it out. The cabins were the perfect size. The owners were lovely and so helpful! They also have paddle boards and kayaks etc that are free to use which was really nice. Definitely going back next year, might even sneak in a fall visit!

Me and my husband just spent w week at Northern Lights Resort.We had fantastic time there.Fresh air, picturesque lake, wild life, millions of stars.We are enchanted! Beautiful scenery, very nice views right on the water. Free fire wood and access to canoes/ kayaks, paddle boats.Motor boat included in price!! Clean cabins, great to have full appliances, oven, stove, fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, etc. Friendly, kind , sweet, helpful owners.Thank You Candice an Owen!
