The service was great. The young waiter treated us really well and made the night really enjoyable after a rare celebration for the family. Steak was cooked accurately and was nice a rare. All around great experience.

We came here for my birthday dinner and I was not disappointed! The baked bree appetizer with pesto and red jelly was great. My pepper encrusted new york strip was cooked perfectly and the whiskey peppercorn sauce just completed the dish. My grandmother ordered her steak wrong and was disappointed by how tough her medium-well was. However, our server Lucas didn't want her to be unhappy with it so he kindly insisted they remake the steak and the replacement was fantastic! I will definitely be back when I come visit Victoria in the future.

Excellent Food and Service, and Harbour view seating. My Wife and I loved our dinner. We Highly recommend this Steakhouse restaurant, The Keg . We will be back many times.

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Fort Street
The Keg is frankly the best steakhouse one can go to for reliably great steak. I have been to Kegs at least dozen times over the last 10 years and I have never been disappointed. Steak is cooked to perfection, sides are yummy, choice of potato, and even a delicious wedge salad. Service has always been tiptop, and the price is right... Not too pricey, just right for a special night out.

Awful food, service and manager. Save your money, I’ve been to the keg so many times at other locations and alway have the best service and food until I came to this one. I didn’t know it was possible for a chain restaurant to have one location that’s this much worse than the others. Everything over cooked or burnt, lobster chewy, even burnt my toast somehow until it was black and just sent it out like that?? Butter for the lobster tasted like straight salt, and I heard the 2 tables beside me complaining about the same thing. The prime rib was the worst part. Then the server made excuses about it saying it’s just the lighting, it’s because it’s the end of the night (it was still open for 2 more hours), and then when the manager came he was so rude, petty and awful to talk to. They comped the meal in the end which we were thankful for, but had the manager not had such a rude attitude I wouldn’t have wrote this review. You’d think If you’re paying this much money you would get good food/service, especially when there’s so many other great restaurants to go to in Victoria instead

Had dinner here last night and it was excellent. Our server, Ling, was wonderful, providing the type of service you’d hope to get but seldom do anymore. Very professional. We had an issue with a steak being over cooked and they made another one without hesitation. It was perfect! Much to our surprise when it came time to pay we were not charged for the steak dinner. Not expected or necessary but a very nice gesture.

My wife and I went out on a date for the first time since we had our one year old baby girl.The experience was perfect.We tried the three sangria's that they offered.They were delicious.Service was incredible as well.We will be back soon.

My parents came here a month ago and loved it hence they brought me here to celebrate new year early. We made reservation via OpenTable and were led to our table shortly after arrival.The restaurant is in a nice location. I’ve been to a few Keg establishments before and this one has the same consistent decoration throughout. We asked for a window table and they were able to accommodate.Our server’s name was Heather and she was great, very attentive and always on top of things such as making sure our glasses were full.We ordered Escargot as appetizer, top sirloin, filet mignon and peppercorn New York as our main course. We also had cheesecake and billy miner pie as dessert.My parents loved it and that’s why they insisted to come here again shortly after their previous visit. My peppercorn New York steak was a little over, I asked medium but I think it was closer to well done, though it is not a big deal for me.Overall the food was great and we would definitively visit again.

Decided to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend at the keg and the experience was amazing. Everyone was so nice and the food was spot on. The bread that they gave us was so good, it pairs really well with the French Onion soup! My boyfriend and I both got the Keg Classics and the portions were really filling. We did over ordered because we were quite hungry but we left with two takeout boxes with some of our food. Despite being really full they offered us complementary dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary! Our server was super kind and packed it up for us to eat later! For someone who has never been to The Keg before I’d definitely recommend the twice baked potatoes and escargots! The steaks are really good too, especially the prime rib! I would definitely come back again for a special occasion because everyone was really nice :)
