Customer Warning Review: Beware of Micah's Predatory Computer Repair ShopI recently had a highly unfortunate experience with a computer repair shop operated by a man named Micah. It is important to note that Micah used to work for the reputable TechKnowSpace that was located at 33 City Centre Drive, in front of Square One, which initially gave me a false sense of security. However, I soon discovered the deceptive nature of his business operations.The address provided for the repair shop, 30 Eglinton Ave W Suite 400, turned out to be a shared office space rented by numerous individuals. Micah merely rents a cubicle within this space, which is highly misleading for anyone seeking professional computer repair services.Trusting Micah with my laptop, an older MSI, I was promised that the repairs would be completed within a maximum of 8 days. Unfortunately, a whole month passed, and my attempts to obtain updates were met with hostility and evasiveness. Frustrated by the lack of progress, I decided to cancel the repair. This decision clearly did not sit well with Micah, who then proceeded to fabricate invoices on the spot.Micah refused to provide a definitive price for his services until I arrived at his cramped and isolated cubicle. Eventually, he demanded $90 for diagnostics alone, despite having done absolutely nothing to fix my computer. Strangely, he claimed that the laptop was not conveniently present on the premises. Annoyed but wanting to resolve the situation swiftly, I agreed to pay the amount once I could physically see my laptop. It was during this interaction that I expressed my dissatisfaction with his customer service skills, to which he callously responded, Who gives a f*ck about customer service? GOOD SERVICE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE [Please read before choosing your service]I hope everyone have a chance to read all the reviews before settling with this business. January 13, 2022, I came in to fix my Macbook Pro laptop screen. At first, this service provided great assistance, they were great. Even though, they said it will be ready in 2 hours, but later called and said the screen they had wasn't good quality, so it will take another day, and I was perfectly fine with this. On the 14th, they called me to come and pick it up, and guaranteed that they have tested everything and that the screen is great. Once I came home, first thing I did was video record me turning on the laptop, just in case anything weird happen, and to my surprised, it did, you can take a look at the photo as proof.Afterward, I contacted and they were happy to help me fix this and apologize for it, everything was perfectly fine. Until they contacted me again next week, saying we've replaced the screen but noticed that the colour did not match the Macbook

Micah is a complete scammer. If you take anything to him to fix, he will: (1) Try to up-charge you $200+ (2) Hold your item hostage to try and extort you and demand you pay ridiculous fees (3) Ignore all of your calls and messages (4) Even if it gets to a point of him trying to fix anything, he will do such a poor job that your item will be un-usable. Don't take my word for it, just go look at all of the other reviews over the past months. It's quite sad people like this have to resort to scamming people to make a living.

Stay away from this place. What a scam. I left my laptop with Micah. He said he could fix the broken screen of my laptop in one week, nearly two months and 100s of calls later, he said he couldn't fix the screen and also the laptop doesn't turn on anymore and if I want my laptop back he needs to charge me 250$ for services. So he wants 250$ for destroying my laptop or else he is gonna keep it. What a joke. Save your money and sanity and take your electronic somewhere else. These guys need to be out of business for scamming people.

Micah Venugopal is a scam artist. I dropped off a device to be fixed and he started extorting me for money to release my device after doing no diagnostic work. I am 8 months pregnant and know he is trying to press me. I contacted the local police and they will be coming by to take my statement now to pursue him. I would avoid dealing with him in any capacity.

The service was appallingly bad. I witnessed the owner arguing with someone who was picking up his laptop because of the price. They will gouge you on the pricing of the repairs depending on how much you need the item repaired for personal reasons. They charge $40 to inspect the item if you do not wish to proceed with the repairs. They did not put my watch back together properly and damaged it when I did not want to proceed with repairs through their service. Do not recommend to anyone!Responding to your reply: Give me a refund then of your stupid $40 inspection fee which is a straight scam. Considering you’ll just damage the items if the person doesn’t want to go with you guys. My smartwatch had missing parts and completely fell apart as soon as I took it home.

If I could give give negative stars I would. They took my PS5 in for a diagnostic more than a month ago. He asked for $140 for the diagnostics and fixing. After a couple of weeks of asking he never gave it back nor did he take a look at the PS5. I finally got it back from him today and asked for the $60 refund since he literally did not fix anything. He said I'll give you a discount next time and ran off not giving the money. If you want to want your money and electronics stolen I suggest this company.

CAUTION - BUY A NEW PHONE INSTEAD OF GETTING IT REPAIRED FROM HERE! Got my phone screen replaced at the Front Street location. They had confidently committed for a 12 month free replacement warranty as their cost was higher than what one would normally pay. The screen conked off on its own in less than a year and they refused to honour the warranty citing damage at my end. Moreover, they were not able to prove that this was a damage from my end - why would they admit that their product was substandard. This is where things gets interesting - when we dropped off the phone with them so that they can ‘determine’ whether they would cover this in warranty, no one mentioned that they will charge us a diagnostic fee if we choose to not get the phone repaired. However, it was their responsibility to honour their warranty commitment. Moreover, we were appalled by the way the owner spoke to my wife when questioned about the diagnostic fee. Instead of giving us an explanation, in an extremely condescending and rude tone, he mentioned we’ve been doing this for 17 years! I feel if he was offended because a woman questioned his authority. He went on to say that they are running a business and they care more about money than customer experience. Extremely disappointed with how unprofessionally things were handled. No doubt they had to shut their downtown location - in this day and age, one should only be focusing on customer experience.
