I had an 1820's white dial longcase clock dial repainted by this firm and I can't think how the experience could have been better. I had prompt and intelligent responses to my messages, the price was very fair and the result is lovely.

I have previously purchased a clock and barometer from Mr Taylor, so I enquired to see if he could find me a suitable bracket for my bracket clock. He suggested that he made one to match the period and the ebonised cabinet. I sent him some photos and the clock footprint.The bracket has just arrived and is a perfect match for the clock.The combination looks stunning and I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Taylor for sound advice, excellent workmanship and attention to detail.

I took the mantel clock presented to my Grandfather on his retirement from Guinness's St James's Gate Brewery, which I inherited from my mother, to M C Taylor as it had not been operational for some time (broken mainspring). Mr Taylor completely cleaned and overhauled the clock mechanism, repaired the mainspring and restored the finish to the case. It is a pleasure to once again hear the background tick-tock of the clock and the melodious striking of the hours and half-hours after around 50 years of silence. A true craftsman who obviously takes great pleasure in his work, I cannot recommend Mr Taylor too highly.

The greeting, attention to detail and a keen wish to repair a Garrard Mantelpiece clock earnt huge praise from my father this week. The clock was inspected and adjusted and we left delighted. The clock is now functioning correctly, we have instructions for a more permanent repair all without charge. Most impressed and embarassed. Thank you.

Amazing, what a craftsman. Mr Taylor has worked on an 0ld clock for me, not the most expensive antique but a truly loved family time piece. He quoted a price Covid came and went. The clock was ready, a magnificent masterpiece of work. He stuck to the original quotation. The work carried out on the clock must have been many hours over his original estimate. So many parts made by Mr Taylor Spindles, Gear wheels, springs polishing internal parts. I have been so impressed, and I have felt a sense of care and dedication a rare commodity now days. We took our French Mantel clock to Mr Taylor for inspection and recommendations. Having spent a few minutes looking at the clock and its decorations in detail he came back with surprisingly good news, and a quote for its cleaning, repair, dismantling and rebuild of the case and restoration. The clock was returned to us yesterday, the workmanship is superb, and it looks stunning! Thank you so much Mr Taylor, we are most impressed.
