SORRY TO SAY THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE IRCC OFFICE. MANY STUDENTS, LIKE ME, ARE WAITING FOR THEIR Work Permits because it has been so long since we received one and we are unable to work at this time. I considered applying online, but I feel that processing paper applications will go more quickly than doing it online. HOW CAN I FEED MYSELF AND PAY MY BILLS WITHOUT WORKING. INVITE YOU TO ISSUE THE PERMITS SOON.

It has now been over six months since my study application was submitted, and I have not received any update or response from your office. According to the tracking information, my application is being processed at the Edmonton office.

My PR application is stuck in that office for three years. I don’t know what they are doing….. being a single mom without any help…..its soo frustrating…. That my husband did’t even see his son and he is turning one year. What could be the worse than that.

OFFICE IS CLOSED, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING PHYSICALLY THERE!I went from Vancouver to Edmonton, hoping that I could talk to someone from IRCC regarding my PR application (that it's been in process for almost 2 years). Many employees that work for different departments of the government and share the same building said IRCC has been closed for at least the past 3 years (if not more), and all the agents are working remotely.It is very frustrating, and unfortunately, the only way to get some sort of answer from IRCC regarding any type of application is through a Webform. The phone number they provide is another waste of time, it never goes through and hangs up at the end of the automated phone system.There are guards that stay inside the whole day, but there's nothing they can do for you. Again, DO NOT WASTE your time going there, the office is closed and apparently will remain this way.

This system doesn’t work its a disaster , is there anyone really working there? Is there anyone cares about immigrant’s life ? Are you consider us as human? We applied for extension of our visa, its more than 5 months and we are not allowed to work any more? Who cares about us? How can we pay our rental fee or afford our living cost, canada immigration system is just advertisement , its terrible.

I applied PR on 2021 september. My PR application has been stuck at this office for over a year since the last update and they have been checking my wife's criminal record for a year now without any updates. I can't understand why it's taking them so long to review a single sheet of paper. It's exhausting to think that I can't get a loan or buy a car because of my status and have to keep renting a home. My hopes of building a future here are crumbling.
