YMCA Shirley Stollery Child Care

Excellent facility, care and management!!My son loved going there and looking forward to bring my second child too!!

Be prepared to put up with bs. My son only spent two hours and they were already calling me to come help them feed and put him to sleep. They stereotyped me assuming I was on income support and that I must of took the bus. The staff did not cater to my sons dietary needs after being told multiple times not to give him dairy. Needless to say I pulled my son out immediately and will not be returning. They also tried charging me 75$ for two hours of him being there. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else!

This place is amazing! Our son cried every day at his old daycare. He just didn't want to go. We switched him to Shirley Stollery YMCA daycare and now he cries if he doesn't go. The staff are amazing, they are always there for the kids and never ever leave them alone in the room. They work hard to include every child in activities, take them outside to play, rain or shine, and have a social support program if you need to talk to someone. They observe every child and provide you with recommendations on how to deal with issues that arise. For example, my child was speech delayed and they provided me with materials on how to help him speak more and now he doesn't stop talking lol. He also wasn't engaging with other children and the staff incorporated his interests in the activities to catch his attention. Staff works with you figure out your child's interests so he can engage in activities. We were so lucky to get a spot here. You will never regret sending your child here.

The only place I feel safe leaving my children with.

Only good things to say about this place. Fantastic people and an excellent building / facilities. Big windows and lots of outside time.

This place is kid wonderland. The staff there helped to raise my older daughter who is now 7, and now the same educators are helping to raise my 20 month old. Staff retention says a lot about the workplace environment. I’m so grateful to Shirley Stollery for providing us with impeccable and loving childcare.

Poor management and staff quality

Incredible. The staff here are so caring and creative and go out of the way to have every child reach their potential. We had staff reach out to provide additional supports we weren’t even aware were available. Both my children thrived here. Normally they are scared to be in new places without their parents but the staff have really made them feel like they’re family.

Our son absolutely loves going here, and we like it too!
