Glennfield Day Use Area A
Great place for hiking, biking and exploring, but as an ecosystem it has very little natural biodiversity. It looks like the park was built from scratch, stripped bare and replanted with only about a dozen species. Where old cottonwood trees once grew, there are now only balsam poplar, which are not suited to the area and most of them are dying. Songbirds are almost entirely absent, probably because they can't live in such an artificial ecosystem. Great in some ways, but also a great tragedy.

Went to a birthday party here and the amenities were so nice. We had 2 private bathrooms that were keypad locked

Very nice walking paths fire pits and picnic tables. But I am not impressed with the provincial government, their is a contact number on signs its not on service. I phoned 311 they gave me the same number. Their is a dead porcupine just beside the walking path. Dangerous quills for dogs and kids.

Fire pits, picnic tables, washrooms, shelters, and a huge parking lot - one of the best areas to start out your fish Creek adventure. Right between the grasslands and cafe/restaurant to the east, and the rugged forested trails to the west.

I went there for the first time . My girlfriends daughter was having a baby shower there and we had a fantastic time. The facility were clean , everything was perfect . I hope to go again sometime so I can get to see all of the park . I was so glad to see that the city hadn't cut down most of the trees like some other parks . Am I the only one who thinks the city needs to stop cutting down all the shrubbery and taking away all the benches . It is ridiculous, they dont want people sitting down when they go to the park . Anyways that wasn't the case in this area . Have a great day !

Rough bike path in many spots - makes for a very bumpy ride from Annie's to Glenfield by the path on the Midnapore side. But I guess that's reason enough to slow down & enjoy the views!
