Lighthouse Cottages

We rented a 2 bedroom cottage with another couple for 2 nights. Unfortunately, the first morning we had no hot water, but this was corrected immediately and we were moved to a larger, more spacious unit. It was beautiful. The beds in both units were especially comfortable. The cottages face the ocean with an unobstructed view of the water and Port Hood Island.All staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful with information about the area.We will definitely return next year when we cycle the Celtic Trail again.A half hour after we had left, we received a call informing us that we had left a set of car keys in our unit. Our keys arrived in the mail the following week.We are very impressed with Lighthouse Cottages!

We very much enjoyed our star at the Lighthouse Cottages. It was the perfect location for our trail bicycling weekend. The cottage was very comfortable for the two of us, and we made good use of the kitchen and barbque. Fabulous sunset views, and a gorgeous beach just steps away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Colin was incredibly accommodating and gave us suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants and quite a bit of the local history.We would definitely stay again!

My wife and I drove route 19 looking for a future cabin rental for our atv group this fall, we found your great location close to the atv trail in Port Hood, beautiful little cabins overlooking the ocean. I spoke to the friendly lady in the office to aquire four rentals on October 1st and 2nd of 2021 and spoke of our intentions. First thing I encountered, she wasn't sure if they could accommodate us on those dates, then the profiling, where do you live" "are you party people". Then she says I'll get someone to call you Monday if anything is available

Beautiful cottages located on a breathtaking beach. The cottages are a great size with bedrooms and a decent little kitchen for a vacation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is amazing and some of the best ocean swimming possible due to the warm Northumberland strait water. Lots of little hermit crabs to watch in August!

We stayed only for 2 nights, but absolutely loved it here ! Cottage was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed. All the furnishings were comfortable and the view from the front porch was gorgeous . It was a short and easy walk to the beach , where we found sea glass and a couple spectacular sunsets. We especially enjoyed chatting with Colin, who gave us some great suggestions on what to visit in the area . Many thanks, and we can't wait to come back for a much longer stay with you!

A hidden Gem on Cape Breton Island. The beach exceeded our expectations and the kids swam like otters. Very kid friendly waters!The owners are Capers to the core, welcome you with a warm smile and kind vibes. We are returning next summer.

That was our first stop in Nova Scotia and it will be remembered. Beautiful cottages , well kept and with an amazing view. I have to say a special thanks to Rachel and Collins the owners for the kindness and the special attention. Gratefully Sylvain !

what a great place to vacation! very friendly owners; breezy and very clean; amazing view of the ocean from the back; beautiful sunsets and sunrises; excellent food in the area; short walk to the beach. we only stayed 2 nights but we will definitely come back and stay longer next time!

Sept 2021. Great location and views. Very comfortable with all amenities. We had an issue with the first cabin due to my elderly mother in law but staff moved us to another one immediately, EXCELLENT service. Fantastic trails right in front of the cabins, beautiful surroundings and Port Hood has everything you need including an excellent restaurant and the best ice cream around at the top of the driveway.
