Colleague and I had dinner after driving from Prince George. We had wings for wing night then I had the lamb shank and she had the steak salad, followed by the Chocolate suicide cake. Everything was exceptionally good. Wings were large and crispy. My lamb shank was so tender the meat was falling off the bone. Delicious, flavourful jus and creamy mashed potatoes. Perfectly seasoned. Her salad had perfectly cooked steak and nice chunks of blue cheese. The chocolate cake was 2 huge slices. So decadent. Best cake I’ve tasted in the interior. One of the best places you can eat and lounge at in Smithers!!

Great stop on your way through! Service was great & food tasted delish! Thanks to Kyle our server for working his butt off… restaurant was busy busy & low on staff because of Covid!Clean bathroomsGood local beer on tapWe had the halibut Burger with onion rings and the club sandwich with yam fries!!Tip your servers & be kind!

I had a good experience with my dinner today. The staff was quick with everything but not rushing me. Sure, they are understaffed or training new staff respectively but who isn't short-staffed at this time? They have quite a big selection of local beer and some others like Guinness as well. The food was good (I had the Cajun Chicken Penne) and the beer was alright, not really to my liking but that might be because I'm used to German beer. But hey, tastes differ and someone else might enjoy it. Overall, good experience. If I'm ever returning to Smithers I will surely go there again.

Nice atmosphere and I have had great meals in the past. Yesterday I developed diarrhea an hour after eating the lunch special. As I had been fasting before the meal it seems logical that my condition was caused by something in the special. I wonder if specials are sometimes used to utilize foods that are near expiration or starting to turn?

Came in with my boyfriend for a late dinner. Got two appies, and two dinner dishes. All of it was under seasoned and extremely underwhelming. The drinks were great, service was great, but I think the food needs some work.

Had a great dinner with friends. There are plenty of beer and mixed drinks selections. Wings and soup of the day were great. Burgers, fish, and steak entrees were all great. All the staff was friendly, helpful and quick. We look forward to going back

Delicious food and great waitresses. Whatever the chefs are up too in the kitchen they are definitely whipping up some satisfying meals, I've met two of the waitresses now, both of them are experienced, polite, and have characteristics befitting of the Alpenhorn vibe, I'm confident the rest of the staff are likewise.It is also quite family friendly despite having a bar area for adults.The design of the restaurant is also quite nice, for me, I primarily enjoy the unique light fixtures, especially those in the restroom, a good woodlandish feel whilst still keeping some of that modern intake.I have yet to indulge in more of the dishes and beverages they serve, I've only gone here twice due to it being out of my town, but I can say for certain I'm definitely coming back, the food often hits the spot, and there's nothing like a positive community, and it really shows when they remember you upon your return.
