Classes with Viva Barcelona Learning are fun! Lily is an organized and personable teacher who really invests time and energy into her students. I enjoyed the themes of each class, the group activities and breakout rooms. Lily has especially helped me with pronunciation to improve how I speak Spanish. I'm so glad I have joined these courses and highly recommend them, no matter what level you are. Thank you Lily!

I have always been curious to learn Spanish, and after about a year of practicing with apps, I found this course. After the first week I felt a shift in my confidence and ability, and by the end of the 6-week course I was feeling confident trying to speak Spanish with my classmates. The self-paced independent work was fun and relaxing, the culture of the online group classes was welcoming, and the overall experience was well worth my investment.

I really loved this class. I hadn’t been keeping up with my Spanish as often as I’d liked, so this was a perfect segue into reviving everything I’d learned before. My favorite part was the Thursday evening Zoom sessions where we all (my fellow classmates + la Señora Barcelona) got a chance to speak to one another under her guided instruction. Highly recommend if you’re looking to reclaim the Spanish you learned way back when.

Why didn't I start sooner? After learning Spanish in school but having little opportunity to speak it as a working adult, I have so missed the language. Viva Barcelona classes are just what I needed to get rid of my anxiety about being rusty and just start speaking in Spanish again. So much has come back to me from these sessions and I always leave feeling accomplished. I love that the emphasis is on how to effectively make conversation with a Spanish speaker and NOT on having perfect grammar (we all know pulling out the correct verb conjugation can be tricky). I have and will continue to recommend these classes to those looking to brush up on the language and feel confident with Spanish again.

The way that Lily Barcelona teaches her course makes it enjoyable and easier to retain the lessons taught. As you near the end of the course you realize your improvement as you are having conversations in small group sessions with other students. I highly recommend this course.

This program is an excellent option for all levels! The self-guided coursework is so engaging (my favorite homework assignment involved online shopping) and the Zoom classes are a fun way to meet people and flex your brain in a fun way. Highly recommend for all levels!!
