Linwood custom restoration

Chris Linwood came to look at my vehicle for paint and body work and had provided me with a rough estimate. Cost was estimated to be around 32K. This amount was agreed upon, After which I went down and viewed the establishment and was greatly impressed with the facilities and his work. I had a great feeling about working with Chris and his shop and looked forward to having my vehicle restored there. I had attempted to make the $500 deposit to get my car in the line up, however, with much difficulties (3 phone calls to ensure receipt of payment) it was finally made. This should have been an indication to me as to what was to come. Shortly after the deposit was made, the goal posts were moved on me and when I was called to make arrangements to have my car picked up I was notified my car would now cost around $50-52K to complete, I found this to be grossly over inflated as my vehicle in no way requires $50K worth of body work. Pictures provided. After writing a complaint to Chris Linwood about my displeasure having to decide to decline the job and ask for a refund due to the exorbitant inflation of the cost. However, I was met with a denial of my refund and a rude response. Due to this all trust and faith I had in this shop was now gone. Any job that requires and estimate is not guaranteed the work. An estimate is there to simply notify the customer of the cost should they agree to proceed. No where was I notified that this would be a non refundable deposit and nor did I receive a formal estimate ever, only verbal. To me I feel the seller breached the agreement and has no right to with hold such a trivial deposit, especially seeing how large the price tag on their jobs are. I am sadly disappointed at the lack of customer service and integrity of this establishment, Usually good sales practices means return customers and satisfaction however not in this case! Therefore I would suggest anyone considering them for work to beware of this upfront and know they will need deep pockets to proceed with Linwood Custom Restorations.

Linwood Custom Restoration knocked it out of the ballpark on my Triumph TR6. They colour matched and sprayed the two front fenders to match the rest of the car, which didn’t need any work.They did an exceptional job as red is one of the hardest colours to match and they matched the colour absolutely perfectly, it is absolutely impossible to tell the difference from the rest of the car.It was just a small job for them, but they were more than enthusiastic to take it on and they were really good communicators and very punctual.It was an excellent experience for me and Linwood Custom Restoration went above and beyond to get my fenders looking fantastic.I would have no hesitation whatsoever recommending this excellent business.

Easy to deal with and service was fantastic. I still can't believe my car is the same car. Better than brand new!
