About the Business

Moorecroft Regional Park | RDN | Formerly the site of youth camp, Camp Moorecroft, this 35-hectare, oceanfront park is now managed under a Conservation Covenant held by the Nature Conservancy of Canada. The covenant prioritizes ecological protection and enhancement and permits low impact recreational amenities within a natural setting. Moorecroft is home to precious Garry Oak meadows and coastal Douglas-fir maritime ecosystems. Walk the trails, picnic by the water, and gaze at the splendor of the Salish Sea and snow-capped Coastal Mountains.

Moorecroft Regional Park
Just a beautiful quiet spot. Nice bathrooms with lots of benches. Nice peaceful bay area to swim. A bit rocky and lots of little grabs. Probably best to have water shoes! If you go to the other side could we saw a ton of seals

Great peaceful location with a few short loops. The coastal views are incredible- as you get 180 degree views from Vesper point. There are normally not many visitors making it feel very secluded.

This is a nice park with plenty of parking and picnic benches. Short easy walk down to the water that apparently I’d nice to swim in (at least the gentleman that day seem to think so) great views out into the bay and even caught a glimpse of some seals.

This is another beautiful place just 25 mins away from downtown Nanaimo. Very close to Nanoose Bay. This was my first time and I absolutely loved it. The cliff, the rocks, the blue definitely makes it worth a visit.

Great places for a little hiking and beach walking. Lots of interesting driftwood and more on the beach. Nice little bench areas and picnic spots.

Moorecroft Regional Park
Perfect spot for a rainy day as the trail is covered by big trees. It takes about 30 min to walk the trail. The best views are on the ocean, but the whole trail is enjoyable.- There are lots of picnic benches spread throughout the park- Clean bathrooms with hand sanitizers- Enough parking for a park of this size

Moorecroft Regional Park
Its beautiful. Tons of trails but if you have a dog, it's an on leash and monitored park.Which is too bad. There should be an area for off leash it's certainly big enough. If you do go off leash watch out for the aggressive shepherd with the nasty owner.( go figure)
