This place has really gone downhill. There's just 1 guy there cutting hair and he seems to show up whenever he feels like. Went last Saturday based on the hours of operation posted on their Google business page and there was a hand drawn sign in the window saying they were closed all day. Wasted money on pay parking and wasted my time. Then today I go and there's a lineup - because again, there's only ONE guy cutting hair - and my parking was going to expire so I told the guy I had to go move my car. He refused to keep my place in line (I had even called ahead this time to make sure they were actually open). This after not opening until past 11am in the first place. So that's what my loyalty gets me. The guy complains about how they barely survived covid but then he casually throws away customers. I went to another location and paid them instead and got a better haircut. Problem solved. You lost my business today and I won't be back.

I've been going to Denim & Smith for almost 6 years (2015) as I used to work at the EB Games down in the basement and then across the walkway from the shop. Moe is always very welcoming and does a GREAT job. Even after transferring to Southgate Mall I still kept going to see him downtown cause he's the best at what he does. I've gone in many times not even thinking that the guy is about to go on his lunch break and he's always snuck me in and still done a great job...always appreciated him putting the customer first. Also never have to tell him what I want...aka a #2 shave on the head and a beard trim on the sides and underneath. Great job and always love hearing about his family over the years as well!

This is an excellent place to get your hair cut! I have been to a number of downtown barber shops but this place blows them away. They take the time to make sure you get a good cut, are polite, and are extremely competent. I have found my go-to hair spot!

This guy took his time, and gave me a nice fade. I'll be coming back for sure. Remember to follow his covid guidelines. I honestly am grateful for this hair cut. Not many guys can cut it to the way I like it. His cuts are on point

My go-to for it's affordability, convenience, and quality. I have a fairly simple cut, but I appreciate that an appointment isn't necessary, walk-ups can be accommodated quickly, the cut doesn't take long, and it ends up good consistently. It is located in City Center Mall, which is convenient for people working or living downtown.

I don't know about the rest of the barbers/stylists, but the lady I had gave the worst cut I've had in years. She was also quite rude from start to finish. I asked for a shorter, messy ceasar and she gave me a slight trim/comb-over. When I asked for it to be shorter and clarified that I wanted a ceasar (which I asked for at the beginning) she rudely told me that would've been nice to know... now I have to cut it twice." The haircut was the most uneven cut I can remember getting. Very disappointed. Won't go again as they don't take reservations and I don't want to risk getting her again."

WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE. Stay out. The lady stayed seated after I came looking at me as if she's surprised to see a customer. Halfway through the cut told me she doesn't know how to use a blade to line up the beard even though I mentioned it at the beginning. Lined up my beard with a trimmer. Held trimmer too loosely to actually hit the hair even and the beard was spotty. She was surprised when I told her I do touch ups on my hair on a weekly. Felt very amateur. Chain barbers and franchises are possibly the worst thing that happened to the industry. Temporary workers who hop around and don't respect the craft. Again, I cut my hair 50 times a year, once a week, I have never seen something like this. Beard is not even symmetrical or close to it. If I can put pictures I would.

The man brought me to a chair that was just used by someone else and it was not wiped down. I asked for a specific, simple haircut and he did not even line me up. One side is longer than the other, the back of my hair is slanted downwards. I told him he had butchered my haircut and he did nothing about it. Highly recommend not coming here and you’d be better off getting a haircut from a blind man.
