Meadowvale Baby Feeding Support Clinic

This place is a blessing in disguise especially for new mothers. The support provided to me at the hospital, home visit and at the clinic itself helped me breastfeed my little newborn successfully. I have mainly been helped by Dana and Jessica and the personal attention and care that these nurses provide is beyond description. They are extremely warm and a pleasure to meet every time. I love visiting this place for the confidence it has provided me in my journey as a new mother and there's always something new I learn every time I visit - about feeding techniques, healthy weight gain, baby's fussiness, etc. Even my baby enjoys being there - the ambience in the rooms is so comfortable that even she will feed like a champ when there and loves to explore the lights, posters on the walls and talking to the nurse. Highly recommend this place to all breastfeeding mothers.

We went for our first visit today for our 1st newborn. The facility was was nice and everyone was so helpful. Two nurses were attending as and were with us for whole 2 hours visit. They answered our questions very nicely and helped us in understanding about breast feeding techniques and why it's so important and what to do if baby not feeding well and all other questions that were coming to our mind. They were making notes of everything and they were so kind in helping us throughout 2 hours. I highly recommend all new parents or even if not new parents all breast feeding moms should visit here to check if they are feeding their babies rightly. You can make an appointment or just go walk in. They are really helpful.

As new parents, we visited this clinic twice within the first six weeks of the birth of our son. He is our first born so we were very much new to parenting. The receptionists were welcoming and the nurses that helped us with breastfeeding were very knowledgeable, caring, and understanding. During our first visit, the nurses stayed with us for almost an hour to make sure we were ok. Nurses Joanna, Eliza, and Dawn, thank you so much for everything. 4 months in and we are doing well thanks to all of your suggestions and guidance!! We are so grateful

My wife and I had our first child earlier this year. We've visited the Breastfeeding clinic on a number of occasions. Breastfeeding started out as a challenging experience but with the right support we've been able to feed our newborn. This is an amazing service provided by the Region of Peel and has given my wife the confidence to feed our little one as needed. Below is a list of Pros and areas for improvement that we wanted to highlightPros- Service is free and completely covered- Staff is friendly, understanding, and willing to provide support. Also very knowledgeable with providing techniques which helps build confidence- Drop-In service - No appointment required- Facility is always clean and comfortable to breastfeed- Reception staff is always friendly and accommodatingAreas for Improvement- Guidance from nurses / plans of action needs to be consistent - Depending on levels experience and opinion, sometimes received conflicting advice- Should be able to book appointments with a specific nurse if you have a preference for consistency and have built a level of comfort with a specific individual- Always told to bring baby hungry but unable to determine what the wait time at the clinic is potentially causing a situation for an irritable baby and visit - Might be good if there was a direct number to call to determine the approx wait timeOverall, this is an excellent service. The areas for improvement are just a few points that we think would make the Breastfeeding clinic even better than it already is. We hope you find this review helpful.

My daughters been in nicu for 45 days and I have tons of struggles with breastfeeding. The hospital staff had recommended the clinic to me. We have been to the clinic today and the service was just excellent! Sharon, LC, was friendly, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. The drop in session today had me feel more confident with breastfeeding. They have also create a care plan for my Little one. I felt like I learned a lot leaving the clinic. Keep up the good work!!

This is the most helpful place after delivering your baby... especially if it is your first one and you are a completely inexperienced person as me. I was so lucky to meet Sharon who came for the home visit after 4 days I left the hospital. She literally saved me because I faced many problems and she gave me the solution for each single one. She really cared about me and my little one. She thaught me how to handle my problems with breastfeeding and she supported me in a very difficult time. I highly recommend to get at the breastfeeding clinic as soon as you leave the hospital. They will teach you how to do it and will help you in case of necessity. I am very thankful to Sharon for all her support. She is just amazing!

I visited the clinic several times because my daughter was gaining weight a little too slow. The nurse (Tess) was so helpful and provided me with great support, and tools to use so that I was able to my daughter on breast milk as well as not having to offer a bottle yet. She was informative and took the time I needed to show me how to use the tools provided. On my next visit my daughter was gaining well! I recommend this clinic to ALL new moms. Breastfeeding can be challenging but the nurses will offer support to get you through it!

I have went to this breastfeeding clinic so far two times. Both times I have a great expierence with Yvonne and Denise! You get so much information and help with breastfeeding! I did not realize I was breastfeeding wrong so it was really great to know how to correct it. I have not felt rushed at all both times I was there. They really take their time to educate you and ensure you are feeding correctly.I highly recommend this breastfeeding clinic to anyone who wants to learn/gain reassurance that you’re doing it right or even curious if your baby is gaining weight and on the right track. You don’t have to make an appointment you can walk in which is great!

I can't say enough positive things about this clinic. The staff have been so great at helping me and building my confidence as a learn to breastfeed my newborn son. The lactation consultants are so knowledgeable, patient and kind. The hours are great as well, and you can walk-in or book an appointment.I would HIGHLY recommend this (free) service to all new moms.

This place is amazing. Those ladies are the best. They helped us a lot during the first weeks of out newborn. If you guys are struggling breastfeeding your littleone do no hesitate in showing up there. There's no need for an appointment at the first time there.
