Would suggest not wasting your time many other lawyers out there..called several times in a week to assist with a matter with no return phone call...reception seemed far from helpful almost as if i was inconveincing her...kind of glad i did not have to deal with them any further than the phone calls if this this is the extent of their professionalism and a representation of how they would treat clients.

We started with Craig Mack handling a civil claim for us, as a small business it hurts when clients don't pay- Craig could not have been better working us through the process and helping us to manage our legal expenses at the same time. We worked with Jonathan Hager and Cheryl Sharp on a mutual clients mortgage, and we would happily work with them again. They were communicative and responsive and helped to ensure our clients mortgage closed smoothly and on time.

Never again... Used this office to handle a routine Real estate transaction (Sell one property, buy another). They made several very large errors such as not paying transferring $300K+ of funds to the bank - They simply handed me a cheque and left me to sort it all myself. I cannot express how disappointed I am in this firm. On top of this, they took 4 months to provide the paperwork from the transaction. I understand people make mistakes, but when questioned, they were dismissive and rude rather than try to make things right.

Have used MACK for many many years on several real estate and other matters. Hands down the best in town. Prompt to return phone calls, excellent communication and reasonable rates. Highly recommend.

We purchased a house May 2018 and used Mack Lawyers to take care of the legal side of things. In August 2018 we received a letter from the Region of Durham stating that there is an outstanding water bill from the previous owners and that if we didn't pay it, a lien would be put on our new home. I was under the impression that one of the reasons lawyers are involved in home sales was to ensure outstanding bills were paid prior to closing, anyways, we reached out to Mack Lawyers who advised us to pay the outstanding bill and they assured us that they would recoup the money from the previous owners. Long story short, it is now May 2019, and we have not been refunded. To make matters worse, they are dodging our calls and emails. The receptionists are horrible, they are rude and make you feel like you are inconveniencing them, they always promise to have our calls returned but it never happens. My fiance did get through to Guy Polley once earlier this year. Guy told him that he would etransfer the outstanding balance to us, but that never happened. We are now back to trying to get a hold of Guy via the phone. We are incredibly frustrated, we spent so much money, and shouldn't be in this situation in the first place as it was their job to protect us as their clients. Please do not get yourself in a similar situation.
