I cannot say that all artists are professional. Unfortunately, the one guy who did mine didn't do it well. So now I will be looking for a new artist to fix it.

Blackgate Tattoo was recommended by a friend for my daughter and I am so glad we followed up on it. The staff were great, very engaging and down to earth. Amazing fine line work done by Mark! He was very accommodating in her design ideas and made her overall tattooing experience an amazing one!

after an artist left the shop I was supposed to get an 80$ deposit back. I reached out after months of waiting. Got an email back inquiring payment details (super frustrating but i get it) i promptly replied and then I was ghosted by the shop. I’m writing this review one full year of waiting and I never did get my money back so I really don’t recommend this shop.

I got my 2nd and 3rd tattoo at Blackgate tattoo. And I'm going again today for my 4th. Jay did an excellent job on my 2nd tattoo. He's really friendly and personable. Mark did my 3rd tattoo and I love it! Mark is also very friendly and has a gentle touch. I barely felt it! These guys are great!
