Spencer Welch Vocal Studio

I am a full time touring musician and recording artist and Spencer is a phenomenal vocal teacher. I had used other talented vocal coaches before trying Spencer and none were able to achieve such significant improvements in my singing technique as Spencer. I genuinely believe that I progress more in a 30 minute skype lesson with Spencer than with 3 weeks worth of lessons with another coach.I have been using Spencer for close to 2 years and he is always able to help fine tune my voice before heading out on tour or going into the studio to record a new track. I currently take fortnightly lessons with Spencer and ramp the frequency of these up when a tour or recording session is nearby. I will happily be using Spencer for years to come.Thanks for everything you do Spencer!

I’ve known Spencer for over fifteen years, but I just started taking lessons with him last year after a thyroidectomy surgery. My experience has been phenomenal and my voice has improved dramatically. Spencer is extremely patient, listens to and remembers details about my issues and goals, and is very encouraging as we go through exercises and songs. When I get stuck on difficult bridges or sounds, Spencer adjusts the exercises in an effective way to help me fortify those areas and improve overall. I've been taking regular bi-weekly private lessons with Spencer since 2007. I sing predominantly pop music with a lot of belting, so when I started taking lessons with him I sang with a lot of weight in my voice and I used that weight to get me through my first passage. Because of this, I couldn't sing past an A#5 for a long time, and I thought this was just my natural range. But by my early 20s I started to notice that my voice would get fatigued very easily and I was starting to lose my range and pitch accuracy because of the way that I was using my voice. I came to Spencer thinking I would just do the bare minimum number of lessons to fix" my problems

I have been taking singing lessons with Spencer since later 2019/early 2020 and will continue doing so for the foreseeable future as my singing has improved dramatically during that period. I should mention that I already had 30+ years professional singing experience prior to working with Spencer, though I was mostly self taught. Working with Spencer has significantly extended my vocal range and I no longer lose my voice after a long singing session. The control I have over my instrument is eons above what it was prior to working with Spencer. Highly recommended!
