Annex Residence

Compared to the other res options, Annex is amazing.Pros:- Hot and cold water is responsive- Laundry machines in each room- Heating and AC units in each room- Multiple amenities downstairs (Starbucks, Anytime Fitness (free membership!), Thai Express)- Large lounge- Rooms are somewhat soundproof compared to other the other res buildings- Large underground parking- Elevators are consistent and safe (unlike Thompson)Cons:- 8 minute walk to the centre of campus- No one at reception- Floors occasionally smell like garbage if people leave the door to the disposal room open- Balcony/terrace is permanently closed- Not much interaction between other residents

Would never live here again. It's a decent place to live 80% of the time, it's just that the 20% is nightmarish.It's probably the best of the residences, but that's saying something. The residence staff (at 90 university, not on site) are incompetent and largely uncooperative. The fire alarm systems go off constantly. The Wi-Fi is incredibly spotty, and sometimes the automated doors just stop working.You also get staff constantly knocking on doors loudly and frequently if you dare live here in the summertime.If you want a real apartment, get a real apartment. If you want the Residence experience"
