Lilac Awning

Greg and the crew were great! They listened to what my needs and wants were and designed accordingly. We are LOVING our new awning, only regret is that we didn't call him sooner!

Greg talks a good game, then doesn’t show up. I have hesitated to post the truth about him because I like to support regional businesses, but this guy is BAD NEWS! He showed up to get the order, then refused to show up for appointments and became belligerent when we tracked him down. When he did show up, after so many unanswered texts and phone calls we had to resort to threatening legal action, he came , without warning, late at night, and pounded away into the night. We gave him the benefit of the doubt because of COVID. He took our awning down in the Fall, again after many ignored calls and threats, and here we are, again, waiting for him to show up, he was supposed to come last week, no show, no call, then Promised Wednesday or Thursday this week, no show, no call, it is now Friday. My husband called and texted numerous times yesterday, and he ignored us. My next call is to the Better Business Bureau! Greg! Just come and install our awning!! Please!!!

We are pretty disappointed in our dealings with Greg the owner of Lilac Awning. We are a high end boutique hotel in the Arts District and initially we were excited that Greg was up to the challenge of building an extravagant awning for our entrance. He was quite chatty and responsive until we gave him a $2000 deposit check. Installation was to begin two weeks later. That was February. To this date, there has been no movement nor any communication attempt by Greg. We've called and texted him countless times and he's only responded twice (by text) in the past 4 months. Once he said he was hard at work on the awning and there was going to be a slight delay because he wanted it to be perfect. That was early March. He also wrote me in April and said Not ignoring you

From Greg's great design for an awning to create an outdoor room to the install this job was amaziningly painless. The installers went out of their way to to make this an easy protect for a couple of seniors. Definitely recommend Lilac Awning. Sandy E

Wonderful job by Greg and his team. Given these very challenging times in the home improvement space, Greg always kept us in the loop with the manufacturing delays and equipment issues. He was a pleasure to work with and would highly recommend.

Greg is a con artist. He dug 3 holes in my yard and never returned to finish the job. He does not answer his phone or return my messages. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

If I could leave 0 stars I would.. Highly suggest finding another company to do your awning work. We signed a contract over 2 years ago, and the job is still not done. I still have wood from a deck they replaced all over my backyard. I even folded and agreed to $9,000 over the original project cost, for them to finish the rest of the awning plan, pick up trash, and finish the deck. They filled up one WM mobile bag and it sat on my front lawn for a month killing my lawn, still have over 2 bags left in my backyard.After two years they put up a retractable and did our deck, but never did the main job we hired them for which was a big screened in awning.Greg will give you a lowball quote to get you to sign over another company, then will refuse to do work unless you pay him more money. His crew is slow and never show up on time, and he wonders why his labor costs are so high. Multiple times he told me they were working, when they were not even at my house.Just stay away you will be happy you did, he does not even answer my phone calls, or texts, just goes right to his full voice mail.Edit...Still has not finished the deck nor picked up all your waste.. be careful they merged with another company.
