Quiet, cozy, and right by the basilica. The bartender and chef were very nice and answered all my questions. The elk and puree entree was replaced by deer and was still the best meal I've had all year and it's not close. The dessert of pouding chomeur was incredible and I'd come back here every time I visit the city if they stay open.

Had an amazing multi-course meal at Restaurant SISU.Had the scallop appetizer to start and it was a perfect bite. Super fresh, well seasoned with a kick of pepper and perfectly executed with a slight crust plus bringing out the sweetness of the meat. Cleansed the palate with the smorgasbord which consisted of a unique blend of pickled items. Each of them had a great punch of flavour.Wine selection is fantastic. Had a bottle of the orange wine and it had that magical pairing with the scallops. I truly enjoy those moments when the wine makes the food tastes better and vice versa.For the main course I had the venison. There wasn’t any gaminess to the meat at all. Would order this again and again. Great flavours from the entire dish and I especially enjoyed the burst of flavour from the mushrooms.Wrapped up the meal with the pouding chômeur. First time trying this dish and I’m now a huge fan. Great crispy texture to go with the moist and sweet cake like parts. I hope this doesn’t set the bar too high for this dessert if I get it from other places.Will definitely come back when I’m in town as I need to try the scallop carbonara one day.

I had the pleasure of dining at Sisu today and it was truly a wonderful experience. The restaurant serves some of the best food I've had in Montreal, including a delicious squash-based soup with goat cheese, a delectable dessert, and an awesome sandwich made with gruyere cheese.What made my visit even more enjoyable was the warm hospitality of the owner, Thomas, and the barista, Joshua. They were both so friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I enjoyed their company and the time spent at the restaurant.I must say that I was impressed by the passion that the team at Sisu has for their craft. It's always refreshing to see people who truly care about what they do. I am sure to visit Sisu again when I'm in Montreal and I hope that the restaurant continues to thrive under the leadership of such passionate individuals. Highly recommended!

Food was incredible! Loved the service, really great ambience. Music wasn't too loud. The staff was really passionate about explaining the dishes and their wine list. Highly recommend the oysters (only place out of Nova Scotia that has them)

Sisu is fantastic! Their dishes are full of fresh flavours using high quality, local products with a selection of great wines to pair with. We had the smorgasbord as an entree followed by an Elk/morel dish and Octopus linguini as seen in the photos attached. Cooked to perfection and so many flavours to satisfy your palate. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will be going back for more!

Absolutely fantastic! These guys are cool, down to earth, and are making some excellent food! Best scallop dish I've ever had, one of if not the best lamb dish I've ever had, best cherry dessert I've ever had. I should have ordered everything on the menu. They're just getting started, so go try it now before it's hard to get a table!
