Barrkhaven Pet Boutique and Spaw

I bring my older dog here for grooming and she is always so fresh and shiny when she comes home. The groomers are kind and awesome for communication. They always ask about any skin issues or allergies.The boutique is fantastic, a wide variety of good quality toys and snacks including a bakery!! The cookies are adorable. I couldn’t recommend Barrkhaven more.

Drove in from out of town today for our 1030 appointment. Was completely ignored by the front desk staff. They then told me they had no record of our appointment,. When they located our appointment they told me it was for earlier in the day , which it was not (I have a record of it) and tried to charge me a no-show fee. Then let me and my pup walk away without offering any solutions whatsoever. Very disappointed not coming back.I would also like to note that at no point was I disrespectful with the staff. It was quite the opposite. I politely took my dog and left. I’m happy to say that we found great service elsewhere!

Fantastic spot! Tyler does a great job with my not-so-enthusiastic cat’s nails every time, and makes her feel comfortable along the way. Every other staff I’ve encountered at the front desk is always personable and helpful as well.

If I could I would give them 10/5 star. Pita is very anxious at the groomers and I could tell she was a lot calmer compared to the previous places I have took her too. They really spend the time to bond with her to make her comfortable. Pita definitely will be happy to visit her new groomer friends at barrkhaven again.

I found this grooming facility and store to be worthy of 5 stars. Great people who really care for your pet. My dog used to not want to be groomed and tried to leave where we used to go. Now she’s glad for me to leave her and have her spa session. She always comes out looking all spiffed up and happy. I won’t even try anywhere else.

Once again Leita has done a fantastic grooming my 120 lb Alaskan Malamute. Leita has been grooming Dawson for several years now. Always a great job. She knows both how to handle a big dog that does not like his rear end touched and shape his coat to perfection. He looks great for months and months. Thank you Leita!

Getting into a groomer is like finding a diamond - hard. However I found Barrkhaven awesome! While the grooming ended up being $$$$ I consider it a win because the groomer took her time to chat with me and understand the particulars of what I wanted for my very long haired cocker spaniel. She was familiar with cocker grooming and took good care of him. He came out groomed perfectly to what I had envisioned and had a calm experience. I will be going back as my experience was overall very good. Thank you!

I had taken my Golden for a grooming session this morning. They handed me my dog without mentioning anything. I noticed him licking his private parts and looked at his belly. They removed almost 10x5 cm of his beautiful golden hair from his belly!!! I understand cleaning up and grooming hair of the private region is part of the process, and I get that accidents to happen. But I would have felt better about it if they had mentioned it at pick up. I had to come home and brush him again as his hair was clearly not brushed well. I tried talking to the manager but he did not have the time to talk! I definitely felt like it wasnt worth the $85 plus taxes I paid. Maybe they are amazing at their jobs, but just wasnt a good experience for me and my dog!

Amazing locally owned and operated store with great customer service. We bring our pups here for grooming and they always do an excellent job. Great product selection and helpful service and knowledgeable advice on all of their products.

Went to Barrkhaven for the first time today with my 10m old beagle. We got tired of wrestling her to trim her nails. Tyler had them done in no time and she was just as happy when she was done as when she went in. 100% returning for further needs.
