I took the Old Montreal tour. It's about 50 minutes long. The tour guide provides some historical information about some of the sights and landmarks. You can purchase beverages and drinks on the boat. I added some photos that I took during the tour.

My husband and I took the 45 minute tour of the Old Port in Montreal yesterday afternoon. What a pleasure! The boat was comfortable and small - maybe 30 passengers. We were not high above the water, nor enclosed, though sheltered from the sun. There was an opportunity to buy drinks before casting off. The captain and guide were personable and seemed to enjoy their work. We learned a bit about buildings, port engineering, real estate prices, and even had a bit of excitement in the rapids". I highly recommend it for everyone except maybe the under 6-year-old

The Lachine Canal tour was a one of kind experience. The small electric boat was comfortable and quiet! We started with a brief ride on the St Lawrence to see some of the iconic sites along the River before heading into the canal. Our guide provided historical information along the way. Moving between the locks and watching the waters rise swiftly was a unique experience. I did the one way trip which ends at Atwater Market - just in time to find some lunch and take in the sights and sounds around the market. I highly recommend this boat tour!

Thank you captain Victor and team Le Petit Navire for showing us the beauty of Montreal. We were visiting from Toronto and looking forward to this boat tour. Everyone on their team was very accomodating and knowledgeable and very helpful. We had a very good time and definitely recommend everyone to go on a tour with them. Cannot wait to come back with more friends next time.

Excellent 45 tour on the super-quiet and super smooth electric boat. Informative and fun commentary and the boat took us to the smooth (close in to sights) and not so smooth for a few seconds' experience of the fast flowing St Lawrence. Would recommend to anyone, especially in preference to larger and louder/dirtier boats. Thanks to the very hospitable team!

Le Petit Navire Tour BoatRecently on July 29th 2022 I took a wonderful trip on the tour boat Le Petit Navire from the Port of Montreal Jacques-Cartier Pier with my sister and her husband visiting from Ontario. The tour boat is electric and runs on rechargeable batteries and is so quiet with no terrible diesel fumes like other tour boats. Booking was simple on their website or at the Ticket Booth. (Advance reservations advised) They have two tours. One is around the port of Montreal, which last 45 minutes. The three of us took the second tour that takes you on a historical journey through the Lachine Canal going through three locks and docking at the Atwater Market where you can have an hour for Lunch, etc or finish the tour or take the return trip again going back to the old port through the three locks again. We opted for the return trip as well. The Canal tour leaves at 10:30 am and returns about 2:30 pm. (4 Hours). The tour boat has refreshments on board to purchase if you want. (Very reasonable priced) The price for the trip is very reasonable and has a special rate for seniors. On the tour we took, the crew were Captain Victor and Tour Guide Chloe´ who explaining the history of the canal. They are both fully bilingual in French & English. Captain Victor guides the tour boat with ease and is totally enchanting to all passengers and answers any question you may have. The Tour Guide Chloe´ is very animated and explains in detail the history as well as with pictures and maps on the historical canal. You also have time in one of the locks to get off the boat and examine how it works. The Parks Canada Staff who run the locks are also very friendly as you go from one level to the next level. You get a whole different perspective of the canal’s history and as you go along the canal the wonderful views of downtown Montreal as well as the Old Port. The tour boat has a canopy to protect you from the sun or weather and has very comfortable seats and is very clean and safety is upmost important as well. It is also very easy to board or disembark. This is one of the best tours I have ever been on for the money. I would rate it 10 out of 10. I also found out they also have special tours at night for the International Fireworks Display as well as you can book for small wedding, business tours, etc. Just ask them if your event is possible on the Le Petit Navire. Bonne Voyage!

This is the perfect family friendly tour presented in both French and English. It gives you a snapshot of Montreal's history and interesting buildings in Old Port. 45 mins is the right amount of time. We loved it!
