I heard nothing but negativity about Rainbow Park in Sylvan Lake while I have been looking for a place to purchase. Sounds like a turnover of the board and management needs to happen. Very sad.

Beautiful, quiet area with lovely neighbours. Excellent location, short distance to the lake. Lots of green space, as well as able to watch wildlife pass from the golf course.Unfortunately the caretakers/ management break the bylaws, as well as selectively enforce bylaws on single women, young and elderly. Meanwhile they intentionally fail to enforce same bylaws on remaining residents.Management is notorious for harassment, intimidation, unreasonableness, favouritism as well as bold face lying to some.They make up rules not listed in their bylaws, and threaten sanctions and fines until you tell them you’ll hire a lawyer. They also waste condo fees on these silly disputes by bothering the condo lawyer.If you report the harassment and misconduct to the condo board, management will retaliate and claim you are harassing them for reporting their harassment, and then resort to telling you that you can’t contact them.If you attempt to mitigate issues with management by applying logic and reason, they will tell you to feel free to break your lease, and maybe you just aren’t Rainbow Park material.They will further bully their target by refusing maintenance requests for years such as leaving stairs unsafe for elderly, or not repairing siding that cause air leaks. They’ll claim the maintenance season is simply too busy each year, while favourite residents have the same and additional requests completed promptly.They’ll deny access to condo services such as access to use the power washer to clean the outside of unit. They also don’t wash the lower nor upper areas out of reach.The rest of residents won’t receive the same absurd targeted notices, such as not being permitted to park in visitor parking, when there is ~40 out of 70 visitor parking free each night. Or being forced to take down summer/ Christmas decorations.The targeted residents won’t receive notices sent out to the entire complex advising of benefits such as access to the community garden, fruits and veggies, flowers, or storage space, etc.The caretakers will further invade their target’s privacy by doing continual, invasive deck inspections only on you, with no notice, as well as personally come and rearrange your deck without permission. Additionally they will ask neighbours personal questions they are not privy to and encourage neighbours to make complaints.During snow removal, they’ll specifically not remove snow around their target’s vehicle, not respond to emergencies such as being locked out, not respond to requests to rent storage space, as well as wait weeks to repair open windows in winter temps, while they prioritize hanging Christmas decorations instead.The caretaker will be completely disrespectful with your belongings when performing repairs, including wearing oily boots resulting in permanently staining the carpet, perform sloppy jobs when installing hardware, resulting in damaging your property, and use the opportunity to swear at and intimidate their targets.They will fail to provide notices that you need to remove your vehicle for cleaning the parking lot, and then attempt to tow your vehicle at your expense. When delivering notices in person, they will loudly slam the door of their targets.They will attempt to intimidate their targets such as at the mail boxes, or with their skid steer by blocking their vehicle while their target is in it, or out in public off the complex grounds.Hours of operation are a joke, there isn’t enough work for all employees which leaves the caretakers able to conjure up drama.These bizarre and ridiculous occurrences inflicted on the single women occur unbeknownst to most of the residents, who have an entirely different experience.Truly is a shame as this area has huge potential if there were responsible, respectful, mature and professional individuals managing it. Sad mismanagement has created such a bad reputation, along with a hostile living environment for some, resulting in a high turn over rate, and chased away so many good people since they thoroughly enjoy bullying.
