National Car Rental

rented a car here over the july long weekend, filled it up just before i returned it, cost me $16.62, and i made super sure it was full all the way, a couple of days later i notice an extra charge of $13.64 on my cc, i called, they claimed that i did not return car full, i only drove 131 kms in car over the weekend and car took $16.62, how on earth did the car take $13.64 from the gas station to the rental car return at thunder bay airport? bunch of scammers at this place, if renting a car here make sure u keep your fuel receipt and watch your credit card statement for extra charges, so long National/Spanoni, i will never rent or buy anything from u again

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our truck was ready for us when we went to pick it up and we were checked out in no time. The vehicle was in EXCELLENT condition. They helped make my big move less stressful. Thank you National Thunder Bay!

Every staff member was absolutely incredible. My wife, child, dog, and I were stranded and this staff team pulled together to help us. They go above and beyond. Would recommend over any other car rental in town.

I'm a non smoker. But yet they charged me $282.50 for smoking in the car. They say the car had cigarette ashes and smelled of smoke. I call BS. I'm a runner, fitness instructor. I would know if the car smelled like smoke. People... if you're going to rent from here have their attendant come inspect the car or take pictures when you return it!!!! I'm. So pissed off!!

Friendly and professional staff. I've put 100,000's of kilometers on their rental trucks for work and they've always been very accommodating.

Their big trucks are great for renting to move with. Good prices and very clean.

Good choice for car or truck rentals. I always get straight forward dealings with their staff and managers...reasonable rental rates.

I have rented cars here for years to travel on trips both inside Canada and to the USA. The people at National in Thunder Bay have always been kind and courteous. I am often offered an upgrade but even when I'm not the vehicles are clean and well maintained and have never broken down. I have had issues at other locations with cars that are old and worn, but never here. I usually rent through air miles and there has never been a problem with getting my car. Very pleased with National.

Rented a car for a week over the xmas holidays. Sadly it came with the worst all season tires I have ever experienced and was forced to return it ( because you couldnt drive a block in snow without getting stuck )and pay more for an suv with all wheel drive. I was given a slight discount on the larger vehicle but I think I'll stick with Enterprise next time
