Rua Meats Limited

Can't say enough good things - this was our first time dropping off animals for slaughter and everyone was very helpful, including other customers. We only had two birds, but they fit us in very quick and we were eating fresh chicken the next day. We will be back next year when our flock expands :-)

I worked there as an employee. They are very friendly and open to share our work experience. All the coworkers are so good and caring. They have good teamwork and genuine to their work.I can also talk about the meat quality. They buy good quality meat and sell it to customers. They have good experienced staffs and butcher. I always suggest Rua meats to everyone.

I work here and have for the past 2 years. The managers are very good genuine people along with the staff. Very positive work environment and always looking to make positive changes to keep customers happy as well :)

Beautiful, fresh local products. I also had 2 lambs processed here. Well kept and clean facility. The owners and staff and wonderful. So helpful! Jennifer, the manager is so organized, she even remembers you last orders and special request. I'm a regular and very pleased to support this business!

And I have been coming here for about 10 years or so.The recommend Rua Meats to customers as the go to abattoir and the butcher shop. The prices are ULTRA competitive, and you have enough supply for months etc.I see so many farmers, butcher shop retailers and restauranteurs ( I am assuming ) come here for their meat products.The staff here has always been helpful and cheerful. So kudos to them.Check them out.

I used RUA to butcher over 300 meat birds this season and I have been nothing but impressed with both the service and the ability to be flexible on dates and numbers. They have greatly improved communication & organization over the course of the past year since the business got new ownership and every time I visit things go more and more smoothly.It’s important to know that when bringing your birds here they will need you to hang them for butchering yourself, so come prepared (I bring gloves) and know that things always move more quickly and are more enjoyable when everyone works together and help each other out. And with the addition of Janet who keeps things flowing smoothly on Friday’s I am happy to say the wait time has greatly diminished.The last thing is that as a small farmer, my kids are quite involved in the process and I’m so impressed with how great Jen always is with them on pickup days. I’m proud to say that the Butchers is one of my kid’s favourite places to go. Haha.If you are needing any birds butchered I highly recommend the folks at RUA meats - they are doing a great job and I can’t wait to see how things improve further in 2023.

This facility did our chickens for us last year and this year our pigs. The staff are so helpful, friendly and professional with all aspects of the process. For those that don't know, many abattoirs no longer smoke meat. We had our bacon done as side pork and for a quick inexpensive way to turn it into 'bacon' I add a mix of molasses or brown sugar to some liquid smoke and used it as a marinade before cooking. It's an easy way to get the taste of smoke into your meat. In conclusion .... this facility is awesome. The meat hangs for a good long time and when all was ready for pickup we are very happy with our home raised product. Thanks Rua!

Very disapointed in our experience at Rua's. We used them twice to process our chickens and then our pigs. Both times our deposits were not applied to our bills. Things appear to be disorganised regarding their book keeping. Seems like a blame game among staff as to why things are not done properly. Not able to provide refunds on the debit machine. Promises of etransfers. Finally was able to get things squared up but took 2 visits. After asking to have our pork smoked, we have received it back without smoking! For Smoking is written on the packages but it was not done. Not a great first experience.

Our community has trusted Rua Meats with our Eid Qurbani for many years now. Collin and Co make tremendous effort to help us complete an important part of our deen! Alhamdullilah

Great butcher! I bought a brisket and burgers from Rua and they were both amazing, great taste to the meat and the burgers had great taste and very lean meat. I have also had my chickens processed from here, they are super efficient and professional. Great friendly knowledgeable staff. 10/10 recommend! Call ahead if you're unsure if they have what you want prepared.
