Athens Fresh Market

I love this store! So accommodating especially when I was having a difficult time finding a certain kind of dog food. I could place an order that I couldn't find anywhere including Walmart, and Fresh Market had it waiting for me at the counter within days. Very friendly and customer oriented! I support the local businesses that go the extra distance especially when the billion dollar corporate stores do not.

Always happy to shop at Athens Freshmart. It is clean the staff and OWNERS are very friendly. I like that they have a meat dept, sliced meat and fresh vegies..

(Update...New owner pride shows!!!store is looking GREAT! Very clean ,new shelves are stocked nicely. Finally got A fresh very delishous steak.Everything is Pricey( like everywhere) needs more healthy choices but looking great so far. )cashier's are super nice.But Sadly Always out of EVERYTHING! Breakfast sausages come out front frozen to be defrosted without any sticker stating previously frozen.meats on sale have 30% sticker then taped over top 20% And has been expired and rancid...:/// Hope they update and stock more often .Always seeing empty shelves.And more of variety would be great.Could be a great little grocery store if was cleaner, better stocked and had some" owner pride.Would save "myself" and so many the drive to surrounding towns."

Hadn't been in the store for a long time. Must be new owners. Store is brighter and cleaner. Nice to see it getting fixed up!

Great friendly staff, prices are outrageous, understable, however, very very limited selection.

This is a typical small village store with last minute missing food for the cottage. The store is old and not very clean. It has lost much of what it used to be 7 years ago. In need of major renovation for better customer relations.

This grocery store is a great small town store. It has a fairly wide variety for the size of village it is in, and they also offer a large amount of gift certificates to the food bank in Athens for their clients which really is helpful to the families that depend on them every month. Because of these vouchers I get a lot of food for my buck but shopping there solely paying your money on items, may be a little different. The products, as in any small town or village store, are very pricey. So, regular large shopping trips you go to a bigger city to get your food in large quantity but when it comes to missing an ingredient for dinner tonight, or needing something small in an emergency, it is great. They have pretty much everything, maybe not every brand, but every item. Their deli is AWESOME! That is the one food that is well priced....their fresh cut meat. It is great cuts too. I would recommend it to anyone. I really think this store is great, and the help they give their community is outstanding and they should be rewarded and supported by everyone just for giving that helping hand to lower income families in their community. So take a stop in their, grab some steaks, pork strips, yes they have wonderful pork strips.....and thank them for helping the families who need it in their, and your, community. It's a quaint little grocery store in a very small country town. Staff is always nice and store is relatively always in order. Limited in options since it's a small grocery store. I like being able to stop on the way home if I forget anything or my husband asks last minute for something.
