DBS

I was so excited to work with DBS on our basement project from the moment the salesperson came to my home, spent an hour measuring/planning and promised a great result using their zenwall project. I spent a lot of time preparing the space (ripping down paneling, cleaning out all our things in the basement, etc.) and took a day off work to wait at home on the day they'd said they'd be there. Five days in a row I was told someone would be there at noon only for no one to come. This meant I took five days off work to wait for the project. After the fifth day the subcontractor who would actually be doing the work explained to me how/why the product would not work in my space. I was disappointed but appreciated the honesty and looked forward to working with DBS down the road when I could afford the more complete project (drywall, etc.) that would be a better fit for my space. It has now been two weeks of having trouble getting a hold of anyone in the office and everyone refusing to refund my deposit. They are insisting on a 10% retainer for the cancelation of the product when they canceled the project, not me. One sales manager seemed to be angry with me when I didn't accept the offer for them to hold onto the money for a future project. I absolutely would not recommend DBS given the ongoing runaround I'm receiving when I just want to be able to move on and figure out a Plan B since they decided that what they sold me would not work in the space.

Just wanted state that the DBS System installed (April 2023) basement waterproofing system is working spectacularly! I noticed the sump pump operating for the first time this past Monday, just after noon. Roughly every 25 to 35 seconds, the pump has been on for about 15 seconds. It seems that much more than 5 gallons every 30 seconds or so has been removed for the last 48 hours, and still going strong. There is not a single drop of water anywhere along any of the installed gutter, only a little dampness in a couple spots that the dehumidifier will handle easily. We would have had a disaster this year without the DBS System. This spring has had record early temps and melting. Best investment we could have made, by far. At last, peace of mind!

Where do I start, originally Justin came out and inspected my garage floor to see if their poly leveling system would repair it to an acceptable level. He said they could fix it and provided me an estimate. I saved up the money and months later completed my down payment snd signed the contract. My repair date was pushed back from the original date to one about a month later due to them being backed up. I was disappointed but I waited. I then received a call asking for them to push the date back again and I refused as I needed to put my house on the market to sell and was waiting on that. The repair quality was very poor, they needed to come out a second time to poly jack it again a month or so later as well as clean up the mess they left from the first time. Fast forward to now several months later snd the floor is sinking yet again. And had a sale on my house contingent on inspection. The floor failed the inspection and the buyer backed out.I spent 6k for the garage floor to be repaired so it wasn't an issue come time to sell the home only to have it be an issue and deter a potential sale. Wouldn't recommend wasting your money here.

Nick was completely the right guy for the job removing all of the insulation from my attic ,installing chutes, spray foaming the attic and blowing in new cellulose insulation . I was loosing a lot of heat from my house into the attic causing ice build up on my roof in the winter. Nick and crew found my many problems in my attic and took care of them well. It was not a fun job working on my house being I have a 4/12 pitch and it was a very big area. I don't know of another contractor in the area that has the equipment and a person like Nick that has the knowledge to do this type of job.

We had a terrible experience with DBS. Almost every part of the project had to be done twice, including ordering and installing the incorrect wall panels, the wrong floor, and wrong hardware. The closet doors were installed upside down. The floor wasn’t leveled after pipes were dug, so we have a permanently lumpy floor that’s uncomfortable to walk on despite many attempts to repair it. The shower faucet was installed incorrectly so the shower wouldn’t get warm, and the project manager told me that was a “me problem” and suggested I fix it myself. A faulty laundry valve was installed which cause the washer to flood the space. These are just the tip of the iceberg and each time I brought one of the issues up to our contractor he dismissed it and told me I was wrong. I do not recommend working with DBS.

DBS has done several projects for us. They braced basement walls with pillars and push piers. Insulated spaces between house and basement walls. Put in new basement windows. All the crews have been wonderful, professional, fun, knowledgable. We would use them again in a heart beat if it was necessary and definitely recommend them to others.

Jason and his team were amazing. Super helpful in explaining the issues, never once did they pressure us into getting their services. But after lots of conversations we knew we needed the work done and went straight to DBS. It took only a few days and the guys working on site where so kind and professional. They took the time to explain everything as it happened and made me feel like I truly understood the process of water proofing our basement.Great team!

Miguel was really fantastic - he installed foam insulation and plastic waterproof sheeting in our crawlspace and was a fantastic communicator and did a beautiful (and very hard!) job. I am so grateful for his work!!

They came out and estimated my garage situation in April. Gave me an estimate that i accepted and said work would begin in July. Now they’re saying September. Really sucks. They make a big deal about minority and/or woman ownership. All for that but, who cares when you don’t do what you say!!!

We cannot say enough positive things about DBS Residential Solutions. Our first contact was with Justin Mundahl. He was a good listener and understood that integrity was important to us when we sell our home. He answered every question I had and was easy to reach when my husband had additional questions. He came to the house twice at our request. There were no hidden charges, and he explained well the financial options. DBS was flexible when we decided to add insulation to the crawl space.On the day that the crew came to remove the damaged insulation, the two young men, Jayden and Raeshawn were very polite and respectful. They cleaned up after they finished removing and replacing the insulation, and even offered to help carry our suitcases to the car. They did a thorough job. The whole experience was excellent, and the cost was reasonable. Thank you to all of you.
