There is a lot of hype around these donuts but they really aren’t that great. The base is the same and the only difference is the topping. I was very disappointed after trying them and would highly suggest Esquimalt Bake Shop.

Easily some of the best donuts I've ever had. They taste like small town bakery donuts but taken up 1000 notches. Dough is delicious, toppings just as good. Must stop.

Okay so I haven't been to this location but I've bought Empire donuts from Rootcellar many times and am always so impressed. Every flavor I've tried is heavenly. One day I'll make it to the actual store but in the meantime I'm glad I can find them at the cafe in Rootcellar!

Large selection of special flavors here. I enjoy the earl grey flavor. They have delicious quality coffee, no cream, milk or sugar needed. Nice robust flavor of the coffee is a great complement to the donuts.

The donuts are pretty tatsy. I didn't pick them up myself, they were gifted to me. The falvours were unique, such as lemon coconut and Chocolate Sour Cream. Far cry from Timmies boring tastes. However, I did find the pastry a bit oily even for donut standards. The toppings, glazes are size of actual donuts seemed generous which I like. Donuts like this seems like they are worth the calories!

We tried donuts from here and they were excellent! I had an old fashioned glazed as well as a “Homer” donut. Both were great! I look forward to trying others from them.

Back in the day they were pretty great! This past weekend I got 2 fritters and a couple of donuts. You’ll notice in my picture the ONE single piece of apple in one of the fritters, the other one was basically a loaf of bread covered in sugar. When you’ve got a hankering for a fritter and don’t eat sweets often and this is what you get…disappointing for sure.Apple fritters should be crispy on the outside with yummy crunchy bites (not soft and soggy like these were) and actually contain apple. No kidding the other one had 1 piece of apple in the whole thing smaller than my pinky fingernailThe hunt for a proper fritter continues.

Tasty vegan donuts! Not mind blowing, but worth getting, even if they're a little expensive. When there's a vegan donut option: you go for it!! There were two flavours for vegans when I visited. Retro style spot.
