Franca sau advisor always make u confused and looks like she just want to cancel the appointment does not matter how many supporting docs u have

This branch is horrible or maybe Scotiabank itself. Charged me $15 just to print the statement foe my account. I suggest just take your business to other bank for good.

I went into this Scotia location to deposit a cheque into my bank account. This location has already caused us issues in the past. My husband and I have a joint account and they switched our security questions and kept telling us we have the answers wrong. This gave us issues even though we showed them proper ID and explained that the answers were switched.When I went to deposit a cheque it was made out in my maiden name because I sold my vehicle that was originally purchased in my maiden name.I brought my marriage certificate to prove to them that I am who I say I am. I was told there was nothing they can do. The most they can do is put it in but there is no point because it will just get rejected.I told them that I just assumed the new last name and I can bring in my birth certificate if they like to provide more information. They asked me for my expired license with my maiden name. Does anyone carry that with them?They told me I needed to get a new cheque with my new last name. I said it's not possible because the cheque is issued to the name the car was registered too. Unless I have a time machine there's nothing I can do. They stated there's nothing they can do as well.I asked if there was someone else I can talk too or a number I can call and they just kept saying no no no. I kept asking them for possible solutions and they just kept saying there's nothing they can do.So I took the cheque to my secondary bank RBC and they took the cheque no problem. Took a photocopy of my marriage certificate and did an additional hold on the cheque. It cleared and everything was fine.We will be closing down a Scotiabank account and fully banking with RBC moving forward.

Don’t open any account here.For every little thing you need appointments and even after appointment they will give you some excuses.

Yeterday i went to get a proof of funds. The girl on the first counter was chewing gum and on her phone all the time and when i was going out i said thankyou and she didn't even reply to me. i have been Bank teller myself in the past for Rbc bank as well and i think this type of customer service was never allowed. And i went last week to get proof of fund and the same girl told me that they don't give it like that i said i am ready to pay for it but she didn't listen. so yesterday i went with a proof that recently my friend got it from scotiabank and then she printed it. I don't knw why even though i told her i would pay she didn't print it for me the first time. The attitude of the same girl is absolutely not accepted won't even be going to the same branch would rather go to a far one.

All Staff and branch manager is very helpful lm dealing with last 23 years all way they doing good

These people are charging 15 dollars for signing the balance certificate, when we asked them to stamp the document as well, as I need the document for official purposes. But they didn't stamp it. Why you are charging 15 dollars for just a signature? You have to stamp it as well.Every Scotia branch, wherever I or my friends go, they sign and stamp the balance certificate. But these are kind of special, they charge 15 dollars but don't want to give you the proper service. Do not ever go there. They are not friendly even.So rude and mean people.

The most racist bank I’ve been to anytime I’ve deposited a cheque anything they hold it because I’m a black man … i received my license plate refund from the government and was told it had to be put on hold …. A legit government cheque had to be held … I’m closing my accounts and do not recommend any ppl of colour go here u will not be respected at all
