Why Ontario does not have such organization!!

Fraud on a governmental level

THE RBQ program doesn't protect people from crooks that much it's up to a maximum of 45 000$ only for the lifetime of the contractor. If for instance the contractor got sued for 45k previously and you got scammed by the same guy. You won't get covered because the covered amount had been exceed. The RBQ DOES NOT PROTECT PEOPLE AT ALL. THEY ARE THERE TO COLLECT ANNUAL FEES FROM CONTRACTORS. The rest of the problems is on your own shoulder. Most public quebecer services don't protect people anyway. Quebec is a chaos in many ways.

The biggest incompetency I’ve ever had to deal with! Hidden fees left and right, staff is super rude. I cannot believe that our taxes pay for this service.

La vrai corruption. Ils disent qu’il protège le consommateur mais ne prennent aucune action envers ceux qui offrent et travaillent sans licences. Impossible de dénoncer un tier sans tous les informations. Du gros n’importe quoi, pourquoi payes t on?

Malgré tout les mauvais commentaires personnellement j’ai reçu un très bon service et mes dates d’examens plutôt rapidement. Par contre 100$ de reprise par examens c’est un peu cher.

They don't serve english speaking people.

I had an experience over the last 5 days where in I made the mistake of missing my payment to renew, on time. It was my mistake as I did not know there was a difference between the insurance vs the actual license renewal fee. Needless to say I literally panicked!Despite my frustration, fear and small levels of anger for not knowing the rules clearly...I called the RBQ offices, I waited impatiently and I humbly asked for help. I explained my situation and followed the instructions I was given. The associate at the front desk who helped me was patient and helpful and re-assured me by explaining clearly, as she called out the details that were relevant to the process I needed to follow. She also escalated my case to a team leader who was also very patient and reassuring and delivered on her promises. I paid my late fees and trusted the associates and they came through, within 9 business days my license is back as if it had never been lost. It took some effort on my end but I see now that it was worth it. I have worked in the HR/Payroll/Finance industry for over 30 years, I know what serving people is all about and I am also very aware of how many people expect help without personal effort or accountability. Customer Service is a two - way communication, those that do not understand that will rarely receive/provide good service experiences. The associates at this office have represented the public sector on a level way beyond my expectations to the point where it warrants me writing this excellent 5 star review!If I may suggest, when you are facing a challenge, remind yourself that rules exist because so many don't logically / selflessly / respectfully follow protocols to begin with.

I was bit scared to go there because of just a low rating showing on Google, but we had complete opposite experience. Guy took his time to answer all my questions and I was very satisfied with my visit. Hopefully they will keep giving good service and their rating will improve as well :).
