Bought a new gas insert for the basement with a remote 2 years ago. We were told....set the temp on the remote and its all automatic. Well its never worked.....shuts off after 10 minutes.Cant get hold of them, left multiple messages with no call back. Finally went in and scheduled a service call for 9am the next week. I took and hour off work.....they had showed up 15 mins early and left. Tried calling them with no answer. I will never recommend this company to anyone

I had Home & Cottage install a wood stove in2018. I recently had an incident that required their assistance. I offered to pay a deposit or even prepay for a service call or quote.I have phoned, left messages, sent emails & photos explaining my request. I even managed a few conversations wherein they said they would get back to me.I am still waiting for them since March.BEWARE! Their aftermarket service is horrible!

What a professional crew! I had a wood stove and they substituted it with gas insert. It was a huge job over 30' of line! They did a top notch job by running gas line where it wasn't easy to get at. Great price. Great warranty. I am very happy with my stove and the manpower to install it. I highly recommend them. karen zulynik

Very disappointed. I first heard about them while visiting a client who said he was oversold on a fireplace. We are having a hard time finding reliable sources in the area so I thought I would try regardless. The entire process has been so delayed waiting for a quote for over 3 weeks, then receiving the wrong quote twice. Calls not returned. I don't understand that level of customer service. The price is comparable to what we have seen in the area, however, our confidence is gone after the lack of accurate communication.

Well I must say your replies to google responses are very prompt ! Thank you Grant. I was made aware in October our log set was “in stock” and I would receive a call to arrange service. No call ever came. Must say I am very surprised at your repose as an owner. Very unfortunate. I will call again Tuesday to hopefully arrange an appointment. With current circumstances it is very difficult to arrange for people to enter homes without proper preparations, the one hour window you gave us to accept simply would not work for most customers. Please keep that in mind.Thank youAmy

Excellent customer service from owner, sales rep & tech's!We originally thought we were going to have to replace our 30YR Plus,NG fireplace as the manufacturer is no longer in business and parts are no longer available. We were happily surprised that they were able to source parts and repair our existing fireplace. Runs and looks like new! Thank you Grant, Brent & Eric !

Had the gas fireplace insert cleaned for a quoted $94.00 at the same time asked them to install a new blower which i had purchased. They have to clean the blower and area anyway, so i thought it wouldn't be a big expense. To undo a few screws and wires that clip on and replace the old blower, i was charged another $85.00 on top of the original quote. Wow for 5 minutes work. Never again, second time this place has pissed me off. Please choke on the money at your convenience.
