Walkerville Secondary School

This school has taught and still is teaching me a great deal on what goes on in the acting and singing world. If you are into the arts then i would suggest coming to this school for your high-school life.

Edit: My daughter is now a graduate of Walkerville. It was a bit rough in the final semester when COVID hit and classes went online. She ultimately did graduate and missed out on the celebration of graduation with friends and a final band performance.In her four years at Walkerville Collegiate, we had our struggles. Kid was in the band program and in the pit band for performances three of the four years. Mrs. Sands is a wonderful teacher with a huge heart and as tough as things may have gotten, she dealt with them with elegance and compassion. Mr. Adjete came in for that last year and his empathy and desire for all of his students to succeed is evident. He can be a bit of a tough love sort of person but having gone through a secondary education program myself, I know how necessary it is not to let the students manipulate you.If you're thinking of allowing your kid to audition, do it. Walkerville is a great school full of great people.Old Review:My daughter attends this school for its Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts Program. Teachers are great, school staff is quite helpful whenever we've contacted them and the plays/music shows are top notch. Though we've had a long daily commute I have not, in the three years she's attended, had occasion to regret agreeing for her to go there as opposed to the high school from which we live walking distance.

I'm just going to review this school with a 'Loved it' because my brother attended at this school and he said it was pretty decent. I think i'm going there next year but who knows.

Got bit by the whole wolf clan (very good school)

I love this school, the majority of people are so accepting and welcoming, you don’t have to feel afraid to be yourself. Of course, you get the odd few that are judgemental, but overall, everyone is great. Our sports teams don’t get a good enough rap, and the junior girls volleyball team almost won weccsa last year (i would know, i was on it). My biggest complaint would probably be that the school has no air conditioning; our school is a third floor, and when you have to sit in that boiling room for around 2 hours, it’s hell.

Wonderful school, amazing principal and secretary!!!! I can never thank them enough for what they have done for my son!!!!

Windsor youth has talent!! Went to see amazing performance artists last evening. Awesome, good for all of you....

School maybe good, but the Principal of Walkerville Collegiate Institute has a bad attitude. She is something else, very rude Don't even want to give it a 1 star because of her

The school is great overall for performing arts or arts in general, but the school is constantly under construction and nothing ever gets done. The main door to the school has been in construction for almost a year now and it doesn’t seem to be progressing
