I was not very pleased with the service as the first time home buyer. A lot of things were not explained to me prior to the meeting. Some documents i was supposed to receive apparently I never received regarding my new property.When I found some issues regarding the property and tried to get them addressed as per realtor’s suggestion, Gordon said he couldnt do anything about it, even when my realtor tried to reach out and explained that legally I am allowed to receive compensation, he never received a response to his email.I think the communication wasnt there, and tailoring the service to the needs of a new home buyer was missing as well. I didnt feel legally supported.However he was able to close my deal on time but it required my mortgage company to contact him and push him. I am grateful regardless as without him I wouldnt close on my first property, however, it has been quite a stressful experience for me as I was not explained things very well as to what was required of me prior to the signing and during signing and had to rush everything at the last minuteHope others have had a better experience.

I have not formally retained Gord Maxwell, but he replied within one business *hour* to my call, then spent time looking at information I sent him, and then more time to explain on the phone what he thought the issue was and referred me to another lawyer, despite his knowing all along that he was not available to take us on! If he does this for people who aren't paying him, I can only imagine what he does for people who are!
