CIBC Branch with ATM

My experience with CIBC was incredibly frustrating. I recently obtained a new CIBC Costco Mastercard and used it sparingly for approximately a month. However, when I tried to use the card at Costco, it was unexpectedly declined. To make matters worse, I received no communication whatsoever regarding the issue, such as an email or text message. Upon contacting the bank, I was instructed to gather an assortment of documents, including utility bills and CRA assessments (a total of about 7 documents), without any clear explanation as to why they were necessary. After providing the requested documents, I was then informed that I would need to wait an additional week for the card to be reactivated. The only reason I refrained from immediately discarding the card was because there was an overpaid amount in the account that could only be accessed by reactivating the card.

Almost impossible to book an appointment at a convenient time. Lousy in-person service.

Asked to speak to a manager and the lady response with “I’ve worked here for years” okay, but are you the manager? Went to a different bank, resolved in less than 10 minutes.

Last I went, I had a very disrespectful and bad customer service from the Indian customer service. It's so amazing that you guy's choose her out of the whole team. She answer and talks in a sarcastic way. Am very respectful coz I work with customers and am sure the management team didn't saw her dealing with one customer before maybe that's why she's still there. But yesterday they had a very nice Indian which is the reciprocal of the other one! She's very helpful.

This branch is the opposite what you fully expect from any normal bank. They occupy a very large space, lots of employees doing something…but nothing to serve bank’s costumers. In summary: there was a huge line up about 12 people; two tellers, line was not moving at all; I noticed at least 3 really frustrated customers. I called the manager in hopes that she can address the situation. She essentially tell me to f-of in politically correct terms. I’m not coming back.

Auto-renewal on 2 year GIC screwing me out of over $5,000 I should have access to. Don't bank here. Will be moving my money ASAP to RBC.

Today June 27 23 I had the worst experience with cibc Bank stay away from this location the manager is very very unprofessional and teaches her employees to be the same so I close down my account. Please stay away from this location.

Attempted to deposit large sum of money in the form of a bank draft, wasn’t sure if this was possible through atm/phone. Arrogant Indian women, told me to go to atm and call simplii cause she has no additional information to assist me. No pleasantry, very clear she hates her job.Completely disrespectful brief experience, I have no interest in banking here. Had just come from my main bank (RBC), night and day customer service… this women should be fired based on previous comments on google. Avoid CIBC, and simplii should make it clear that absolutely no service is offered through cibc… even though I know when it comes time for me to take my money out via a bank draft, it will be from CIBC and not the atm… complete joke.

Be expected to wait for 30+ min to receive any teller service at this branch. There were more staff behind the counter but only one teller was actively serving customers. The others didn’t seem to pay any attention to the growing long queue of customers.

This place is ridiculous! No business Center employees to help and you get in line with everyone else of the 10-12 people waiting. No one out to help anyone. What is the point of having all the desks in the lobby if no one is ever there to direct people.
